It is a difficult decision but before taking it, you should think very well and ask an important question: What levels do you play and what are your goals in the medium and long term?
To live from this you need economic and moral support.
The economic support you get with a mattress of money that assures you that you will not go hungry and you can continue paying the bills when the bad times come, which I assure you will come.
And the moral support you get with the certainty of knowing that you are a winner at a certain level and the personal commitment that you will not stop improving no matter what happens.

I will say never. You need a stable income, unless of course you had a very low income job, otherwise you play poker as an alternative income but dont put all your eggs in 1 basket!

I think u better must think good before that. If u just have a strong luck and kick a.. on tables and u leave ur job then aomethink happend and u start to loose badly then u will be broken and there is no job ... i think u need time work and play. After few months maybie 3 or 4 then think about can u live with poker

A 6 months bad run losing period is a big fish and is not even arguable subject. That guy losing for 6 months is a big donor not a poker player. Its a good decision of you can properly maintain your lifestyle. If you are building your bankroll playing poker then you can just keep doing that until you have a very comfrtable cushion. This is more of a personal finance question rather than poker

Nowadays you have to be a super shark to be profitable. The game is not that easy like it used to be. I wouldn't recommend you to quit your job, but maybe the best option is to play poker like a extra thing and grind on the weekends

I wouldn't quit my job if I was you. If I was able to make the profits you are making I would be happy with carrying on with my day job and playing poker on the weekend and in my spare time.

No no no no no no, unless your poker earnings are in the 6 digits+ and even then NO. Don't risk losing a steady monthly income, you will put yourself at serious risk and stress, then again this is my opinion and I have no rights over your life, it's solely your choice so up to you! Good luck!

Obviously, you need to be very careful with that. It is not so easy,if you think you play good, when you will start being a pro you will find out, there are lots of other very good poker players. You need to beat the game, learn the game all the time, beat the rake and have the strongest discipline ever. As you see, you cant just simly do this, only if you are 100% sure.

I wouldnt do it, because the moment you quit working, you HAVE to win. The pressure on you will be much higher. Maybe too high.

And with all the pressure you may loose interest in playing poker, cause its not that much fun anymore.
