Has anyone recorded themselves while playing and go over the recording after the session? Seems like A good way to find leaks imo.

It's a great way to do it AND if you do it like you're making a video for someone else (talking through the why of your actions) you'll play better to.

If you do make a vid, be sure to post it and we'll all make fun of the way you talk....I mean watch and analyze your play. :)

Camtasia is the pay App of choice (at least it used to be) and Camstudio is the free ware alternative. Camtasia used to offer a free 30 day trial.

Yes but it is expensive ($299). tbh I had an old trial version that you could continually use just by resetting the date on the PC back to a time during the trial. I'm fairly sure that error has likely been fixed by now.

I used the free one to make this video but I had no microphone so to bad about the making fun of my voice because it is funny.

However I am getting a lot from just re-watching my hand history in the universal replayer.

Without audio they are really hard for other people to watch and follow along with. A mic is a necessity imo.

I agree thats why I only made like 2 or 3 then gave up on the idea. Maybe its time for me to go get a mic they are pretty cheap.

I agree that watching yourself play helps. This is how I like to review my sessions. By having to justify my play I find mistakes and am able to reinforce the correct plays that I did make. I also put them out there for people to critique which as another poster mentioned sometimes ends up as people making fun of your voice. Oh well.
