Running the clock?

I watch the clock most of the time

Not just to see how many are left and can drop but to see when the next blind escalation or break is. If I see a low stack at the table heading into the blinds and it is less than a minute until the next blind increase I might stall so that the blind increase puts them all in, especially if near the payout. If it is nearing a break I might stall if I just passed the blinds so that I will not be back into the blind after the break. As pointed out earlier there are a lot of ways to use your Clock management and it is part of your online tools. Many times I have seen 4-5 players drop just before the payout while I used my time up. Once it goes to hand to hand it is useless but any other time in the tournament it can be useful, jmho

Early in a tourny running the clock makes no sense, You want to see as many hands as possible. Late clock management is a tool every poker player should have as part if their game.

If I'm close to the money, I will run the clock if not big stacked. Your first position was way to far out to run the clock. Within 100 out max. True, the bigger stacks can't stand it, but they are pretty much in the money with their huge stacks. Turn off chat and let them steam! Get your pay then floor it if your at low position. Still I wouldn't drop KK AA along the way.

No offense but the clock is one tool at your disposal, and if you have had bad luck or beats or whatever but are within spitting distance of the money, particularly in a buyin, you must use every tool available to survive.
The peeps with big stacks who whine, complain and type their zzzzzzzzzs make me laugh. Often if I stall its just to get them more tilted (come on! come on!), I know they are anxious and acting on emotion. What's a few more minutes? Lack of patience and understanding of the situation tells me I am dealing with another 12-year-old (hurry up u donkey!!!! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)
Other reasons to slow down the action: Empty seats you want to fill before blinds reach you, distance from the blinds going up, and again, to make those dweebs in a rush (left your car running big boy??) steam some more, and bring in the cAPS to show how unbalanced and inarticulate they are: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
If I have an idiot or two like this at my table, chances are they will call my eventual all-in, just cos they are pissed and want me gone. Doubled up a lot of times that way!

I don't like clock runners either, but you were suggesting doing it 2 hours + from the end of the game! You shouldn't be focusing on last place then, you should just be playing your normal game.

He actually had two pair whereas in his double-up hand he was called with TPTK, slightly different.
