A while back I remember someone posting about a password encryption add-on/program for log-ins to poker sites. Anyone mind re-posting it? Never hurts to beef up security of my account:cool:

Pokerstars, have to spend fpps for it. Look in the vip store > security. I have no idea how much extra protection it is for the price...

...oh, I see they now have a sliding scale price. Its dirt cheap if you are supernova.

It's a huge improvement for your account security. Basically to hack your account someone has to steal your key (and know your username / password) or hack Stars. Here's the details on how they work: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SecurID

For the amount of $$ you have online, getting one is a no brainer for those who play on Stars (FTP is supposedly implementing one soon as well).

yeah it was great of stars to slash prices, they really listened to the community
they used to be 6k fpp, now the price depends on your VIP level, platinum is 2k fpp, and if u bought one at 6k earlier u get a refund depending on ur highest achieved VIP level that year. so if you bought one at 6k fpp in jan when and u reached platinum in june, they send u 4k fpp back.

its a no brainer, and as soon as this month is over and i buy teh cash credits im getting one

It sucks for tournament players like me who can't earn that many FPP's. Having used most of mine this year in tournaments by the time they sent me an email advising that I get one due to the large amount of money I keep in my account I had hardly any FPP's. I still have less than a thousand FPP's. It will take me forever to earn 6000 FPP's and that represents a lot of hard work for me.

So basically even though I have a very large amount of cash there I am not allowed to have one of those. Something about that stinks.

You can actualy buy it with money aswell.
You can pay like half in fpps and half in $, i think its total value is like 90$.
Just have to email suport and ask them to detuct it from your acount.

Or u can just sit a 24 50nl tables and autofold until u have enough FPPs ;).

I will email support today - I don't mind paying for it. But even if I have to use half fpp's it will be a long time before I get to 3000 again. I only earn about 350 a month. And it takes a LOT of $11 tournaments to get that many. Mixing in some $5 ones now so it would be next year sometime before I could get one lol.

lol at auto-folding $50NL. I would be too tempted to peek and then would play a few hands and lose my ass.

If you know that you'll only be playing from home, consider asking your pokersite to lock your IP. It's not quite as safe as an RSA token but it's for most intents and purposes good enough.

I play from all over the place so that would not work for me. I have played from 3 other places just in the past 4 days lol.

When you go to the VIP store I can't even find the token there. You would think it would be under security - but the only thing there is a password sheet for the security token. Des anyone know where to find it?

That does not even show for me. :(

Yea - I do have the pin. I sent an email to security. It would cost me 4500 fpp's. I figure it would take me about a year to get that many lol.

lol everest are retarded, i withdrew all my money there because im moving back to stars, and they locked my account due to suspicious activity. I assume that suspicious activity is withdrawing my entire bankroll to the same neteller all other withdraws go into but whatever since thet say that all withdrawals will go through anyway. The lock will prevent me from depositing any more money there until i verify who i am, lol I think they are doing it wrong ^^

Stars are pretty cool, they upped my deposit limit through neteller from $600 to 1500 per 24 hours, within like 5 minutes of me emailing them

Will Stars and FTP actually do this? I seem to recall players on 2p2 asking for this simple level of security, but not having it.

So you'll be an Austrian nobleman
Commissioning a symphony in C
Which defies all earthly descriptions
You'll be commissioning a symphony in C

With money you squeeze from the peasants
To your nephew you can give it as a present
This magnificent symphony in C
You'll be commissioning a symphony in C

Completely filling the palace concert hall
It's warm and golden like an oven that's wide open
It has a melody both happy and sad
Built on victorious known triads

You've entered the room with great caution
Though no one in the hall is even watching
They are transfixed
They are forgetting just to breath
They are so taken by your symphony...
In C

You're sitting there thinking your thoughts
They are not about what is but what is not
You are sitting there breathing in your breath
You are seldom breathing life but mostly death

So you'll be an Austrian nobleman
Commissioning a symphony in C
Which defies all earthly descriptions
You'll be commissioning...
A symphony...
In C
