Poker is frustrating sometimes, when you fall into losing mode, it's easy to lose confidence as well, will you doubt yourself from time to time? How do you cope with it?

No, because I trust the process.

I know I'm going to lose, sometimes I'll go on losing streaks. But, I know that I'll be profitable in the long run because of the +ev decisions I make.

Sometimes there are losses, but this does not "knock me out of the saddle", "do not knock me off the track". As an amateur, this does not surprise me. I make a new deposit and enjoy the game further

There is no need to doupt so much yourself after losing, if you have a programm and targets to focus. Loosing is a part of the game and you cannot avoid it. Poker is a mathematical sequence. Have patience and the wins will follow the loses!

I control the buy in fee of each game.

When i lose it, i also fall into failure mode. But i will tell myself it's just a game.

I do this and have started to doubt myself recently even! What I try to do is step away for a bit and try to analyze my play. I recognize that I am running bad but also find several mistakes I made. I try to improve on my mistakes, be mindful of tilting before getting back into and finally just remind myself that I am amateur hahah

You are doing well, it's not easy I'd guess.

Losing sucks but it's part of the game and every poker player goes through it nobody is an exception. Because I have so much faith into my BRM and have discipline behind it I'll never lose all of my money. At times it can be discouraging and doubting but there is nothing you can do but to persevere and go against the grain. :)

Yes that happens often, especially when I have frustrating weeks. Honestly poker can be such a cruel game sometimes, especially when it comes to the luck factor.

I also have a tough time after losing. To deal with it, I usually do some meditation like practicing self-acceptance, breathing,... I feel better after doing those things.

No point in getting down over it. You will gain confidence with experience and that obliterates self doubt. Losing will always suck, but if you are confident, you will know you did your best (or at least realize where you went wrong , if you did, and learn from that) and it just wasn't in the cards for you today, pardon the pun.

You have to develop your coping mechanisms.

For instance I generally play a TAG style but know it is important to play in a varied manner and will occasionally play a hand to an entire tourney in a LAG style. I generally take beats in this mode but know what I am doing, which is broadening my range and I expect to suffer the consequences.

So I do not get down on myself.

Then regarding my TAG style play, for the majority of times I get all-in (which is at essence what we are discussing here) I do so with the best starting hand...and if the hand does not hold then I have valid reason to quickly curse the algorithm and the villains stupid play.

But then I let it go because I made the better decision but then bad luck intervened. End of story...that's poker.

So I do not get down on myself there either, as it is pointless.

I too have doubts about myself and my game. That is why I take brakes from the game. Try to think about what I did wrong and correct it and come back with a fresh mind and new focus for my game.

If you are ready to play poker, then be ready and lose, because in poker it is impossible to win all the time, even the most titled poker players lose and there are downsides. If you are ready to accept failure and treat the given as inevitable, then you should not have such a question. a.

if you see that your game is not working or that you have entered a bad river pass :), it is simple , take a break, there is no point in stressing, you take as much time as you need and come back:)

Hello.
I plan to play poker for the rest of my life, that is, for a very long time. That's why I'm not upset by temporary failures at all, I just don't pay attention to them. I am always optimistic and step by step I go to my goal.

I am aware of my poker level and ceiling. My place under the poker sun. I have accepted it. It took me a while. Thus I do not have crisis of confidence. It is what it is. I try my best and try to learn from mistakes I have detected.

I don't doubt myself. I'm sure I want out of poker. When I have health, I play hard. If I feel bad, then I joke and joke. I can put all the chips 2 3, because I don't care about the result. Therefore, I am always confident in myself.

It's always good to study the game and accept the variance.

Self doubts are involuntarily thoughts, when it come to mind, it might be hard for you get rip of it, so by just telling yourself not to self doubt will often not suffice. It would be a problem for quite a handful number of players, I'd guess.

For those who never doubt themself, they might be gifted to be good poker players.:)

Losing is a part of Poker. I expect it though it is of course frustrating. But I try to be as calm as possible. Bad Beats happen. Losses happen. It's math. But when I make an ob obvious mistake, I try to learn from it.

In the beginning, I didn't take my defeat well. But with the constant analysis of my game, I began to perceive my defeats as an opportunity to identify the mistakes I had made.

Hi.
I never doubt myself. I don't even understand how to doubt yourself. I just play poker and enjoy the process first and foremost. Regardless of the result, I am always happy to spend time playing.
Good luck.
