If I was at the final two with my best friend and he needed the first place money, I would give it to him. I would however play it out legit and give him the difference. I want that trophy!

maybe it's just me being competitive but i'd play the game seriously because i want to win. i'd then lend the friend the money he needs and assume i'll never get it back.

Letting someone win(cause allegedly (s)he needs win more) is loser talk

That's why it's understandable not to do it even against your relatives etc

My thoughts exactly. I'd play to win the trophy and just gave them the money if they were a friend.
