It doesn't matter to me, as long as the card shufflers are reputable and the online site is reputable and the hand dealer is reputable, they are all the same really.

SHUFFLING MACHINES ARE NOT MECHANICAL, THEY ARE SUPER SMART MECHATRONIC DEVICES AND CAPABLE OF MANIPULATING CARDS, EXCUSES FOR USING THESE MACHINES AS NASTY AS THE MACHINES, I WOULD NOT BELIEVE A DEALER COULD SET CARDS WHILE 100 CAMS COULD POSSIBLY CATCH UP WHAT IS HAPPENING IT IS LIKE A THEIF GET INTO AIRPORT TRANSIT AREA TO STEALING SOMETHING BUT SHUFFLING MACHINES ARE PART OF MACRO SCANDAL MANAGED BY HIGH TECH GANGES AND CRIMINAL ORGANIZATIONS, ONLINE GAMES EVEN EASIER, NOTHING IS RANDOM IN ONLINE GAMING NOT JUST SHUFFLING, NO EXCEPTION, DO NOT PLAY POKER UNLESS YOU SEE CARDS SHUFFLED IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES🐒🐒🐒🦊🦓
Welcome to Cardschat, MikeRollz. Your first post is certainly an eye catcher.

Please note that almost all members refrain from SHOUTING (all caps).

If you are going to posit a controversial accusation about card shufflers, please provide absolute and vetted PROOF of your statements. For example, you could post a link to a court case that found card shuffling companies guilty of manipulating cards. Then we all know the truth of your statement and I for one will be wary of card rooms that use shufflers. If such evidence is not available from more than one reliable source, I suggest you remove your post and start over with something a little less inflammatory.
Enjoy the camaraderie and spirited discussions here on Cardschat.

Either, both and also players are allowed too. I'm not that suspicious of the shuffle. I really dont think I'm important enough to be the target of scam shuffling.
Although I suppose if the the dealer had a friend playing .....

As already mentioned, posting in ALL CAPS is not something we do at cardschat.. :)

2016 is quite a necro-bump too!

Thank you for selecting a thread with a comment from four-years-in-the-past me though!

I see I was sceptical as ever...

I hear players complain about the shuffling machines constantly at the table, but without any proof or validity . . . Sometimes I believe it is just a conversation starter for them. But given I do not play the high stakes table I find it difficult to believe the dealers at our table are willing to risk theirs and their family's livelihood to cheat to help anyone . . . I also believe in the old saying 'cheaters never win and winners never cheat' . . .

I´m definitely on the side of a dealer shuffling my cards. If i wanted to play with machines i could simply play online. Interacting with people is something i find very important during those kind of games. Even if its the Dealer. And if you are not happy with the dealer just ask for a new one.

Either is fine

There are ups and downs to both but either works fine in my opinion.

I rather have the dealer use a machine, I think its faster, more efficient, and provides less chance for cheating.

If the dealer is not a cheat..
then i dont think it matters who or what shuffles the cards...
But if a shuffler is around , then why not use it and eliminate any crazyness that might happen when we are turning our heads.

Shuffling cards.

I've never liked shuffling cards. I don't know why I feel uncomfortable. Maybe because I'm not very good at it.:smile::smile:

What do you prefer when you'te playing live game poler, a machine mixing or dealer (human) mixing cards.

After a while I've saw something new for me. It was a HU on final table in Brasil WSOP and the players requested one more dealer just for mixing and preparing the second deck for the next hand.
I don't trust machines or programs that control them. The man designs the management of them as well as that of online casinos, all for the benefit of him or the owners. I prefer the old school, shuffle the cards in my face and stir them well on my face, where I can see them.

before covid

when we used to have holdem home games we always had 2 decks in play . the player to the left of the current dealer would be shuffling + preparing the 2nd deck , would get a cut , cap the deck with a chip or the 'small blind' button and proceed to deal the next hand as soon as the 1st deck cards were gathered up and out of the way .when the river was dealt by the 1st dealer , he would hand the stub to the current big blind , who was responsible for collecting the board cards and the muck, etc etc . much faster !

There are always real human dealers in the casino when I play. Never played a poker game with a card shuffling machine, only whilst playing blackjack.

It would be good, but it is difficult to know, I do not know if the poker systems have studied this possibility ...

I play mostly home games, I would love a good card shuffler to speed up things.
Apart from cheap stuff on Amazon or thousand dollars machines I cannot find anything.

Does any one know of or use a good one?

Good games to all! :)

I didn't like the machine shuffled cards, for one simple reason you are using 2 decks of cards rather than one,and I suppose it might be superstition but I feel one deck is better for the game.
But after playing on-line where they use multiple decks I suppose that suspicion of deck tampering by machine was dispelled and now I really don't care one way or another. A deck is a deck, and as long as they are shuffled I really don't care by who or what.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

To be honest, it makes no difference to me who shuffles the deck of cards. But maybe I don’t understand how this works with machine shuffling of cards. And as for the request to invite a second dealer to shuffle the cards, most likely this is for the speed of the next deal, especially since it was a heads-up.

Cheap machines from ebay usually stuck easily and do not mix cards well so i prefer manual mixing for home games. If it is in casino i don't care how it is done.

It seems to me that if you do not trust the dealer , you should not even start the game.
