I really am sick of poker tracker liars that say that make it seem like using the software does not give them an advantage over other players, and use it to develop their game by finding leaks etc.

Im proud to say that I use it and it does give me an advantage many times over other players.

Stop trying to avoid the fact that you use it because of the fact it provides a ton of information that you would not be able to track yourself, and provide tons of information on players that help you win pots you may have not.

Now lets see how many whiners post about how it gives them no advantage over other players.

Strange post. Just because people have PT or HEM does not automatically mean that they know how to interpret the information that they are being given.

Also I don't really see why you would give a toss whether they benefit from it or not, as long as you benefit from it.

Who needs a tracker anyway? Most people I know have lost their car keys at least once or twice but they always seem to find them eventually. :p

Actually, all of these tools should be banned from the sites. They all offer you the opportunity to take notes on players and save it so I don't understand how they ever let these programs be used in the first place.

I'm assuming you're not talking about people at CardsChat, seeing as you haven't been here very long, and practically everybody here who uses a HUD, has said they use it to help keep track of player's habits and stats, and use it as an advantage, as well as keeping track of their own stats to help improve their game.

Yea - I have never heard anyone claim it does not give them an advantage lol. Why else would people pay for it?

Wow, words fail me. Not to sound like an echo, but of course it gives you an advantage (assuming you know how to use it).

Words fail me here too. Notes should be banned? LOL. You do realize that every live venue I'm aware of allows note taking, and every poker client I know of allows you to take and save notes on your opponents? And like most who express indignation at tracker software, you fail to understand the single largest benefit it gives you. I'll leave it to you to figure out, but here's a hint: it has nothing to do with your opponents.

(or did I just get massively leveled?)

I don't think they were saying notes should be banned, rather that because you can make player notes you shouldn't need any other software.

yeah, that is what i was getting from the other people. FI the poker site already offers you to take notes, then you should not need another program to do it for you, if you cannot do it yourself.

This is a very strange post. I've never heard anybody saying that using the software doesn't give you an advantage. That's the point of the software, and if you go out of your way to pay for it, then I assume those people know that they are paying for the added advantage.

Indeed it is. Also, the thread title includes a Grocer`s Apostrophe. Therefore, for crimes against grammar, as well as for spouting nonsense, I recommend that OP be defenestrated without further delay. ;)

Ah, my mistake. I read it wrong. Sorry!

I still disagree with the point, however. I've expressed my POV on it too many times in other threads, though, so I'll not continue to beat the dead horse here again. I'll just say that if you don't use tracking software, whether to keep up with opponents or to improve your own game, then it's to your disadvantage. Not liking it or thinking it not fair isn't going to accomplish anything, and the sites aren't going to ban it, so there's just not much point in complaining about it. Unless you're Phil Ivey or Durrr, playing stakes so high with so few players you know everybody's game already, then you'll either use it to your advantage, or give up that edge. It's kinda like complaining about this new-fangled telephone thing that we don't need, the telegraph and pen & paper have suited us just fine up to this point. :p

Ha this is funny, the end of my post did not make my copy and paste. I dont have much time today to type the original ending but in summary it talked about the previous forum I was in, and how any talk of poker tracker involved spam from whiners about people using it, then the end game would be people defending using it by stating "they use it only to find there leaks and it does not give them an advantage over other players. Then the last sentence was is ti like that here?

K, gotta go got 5 tables going, good luck today

Had to get the dust off the dictionary for that one, I knew there was a reason I love Cardschat, where else can you get great poker advice and sharpen up your vocabulary
