He did NOT know what to do when he seen them PF & did NOT want to tango with two established pros. He prob figured they would both call a PF (3bet) raise & then he would be stuck not knowing what to do against them on a wet drawy board. They could have easily out played him ATF & it's obvious he did NOT want to take a risk of losing any chips.
If that is really how & what he was thinking, then I can sort of understand where he's coming from. But, I would never lay pkt aces down there. I'm @ the least 3-betting their butts in that spot & go from there.
Who knows, maybe he went on "instinct" & had a "bad feeling" about the hand in general. People play on "gut instinct" sometimes in certain situations. I, for one, am one of those people.
Although he made a great laydown PF, the results of the hand can't be a factor of why & how he layed those down there. It's sooooo not good to be results oriented.
