Sklansky Dollars

Is this only used to assess how you played in certain hands that you are unsure of? Surely no-one does it for every hand?

Also, is knowing the percentage of you starting hand jsut something that is commited to memory are these listed somewhere?

After you've got all the information you could analyse every hand in terms of the Sklansky bucks you would've won, if you feel so inclined. Some of the tracking programs will work out how you're running in Sklansy bucks terms automatically IIRC.

As for starting hand percentages... it depends. You're talking about their percentage to win? It's impossible to work out unless you know all the cards, but once you do there are some common ones that you just memorise. Pocket pairs vs two overcards are usually in the 55-45 ballpark for example, pocket pair vs lower pocket pair is 80-20, etc.

You can use tools like Pokerstove to evaluate them quickly, it'll give you a more accurate answer than a generic list and you'll probably get it faster too.

So this is like the EV All-in performnce graph on PT3 then?

yea. if u look at the graphs theres a page where u can see Expected winning and actual winnings. ur actual shld be at or above the expected if ur a winning player

Cool, I'm pretty much bang on the expected line.

if your running PT3 u shd look at ur redline graph. (showdown vs non showdown winnings)

that one will tell more. if ur redine is downward sloping then ur probably drawing too much & giving up on river when missed, or u dont bluff as much/get bluff out of pots alot.

remember studying the game is more impt than playing all the best!

OK, will do. Yeah, studying my sessions is definitely something I need to concentrate on more...I tend to just open PT3 and stare blindly at it not really knowing what to look for....ashamed to admit that PT3 is only relatively new to me so haven't really checked out the redline graph...will have a look and shout you if I need any further help....as always thanks for assisting!

I don't really understand this graph? Would you be able to explain it to me or point me in the direction of an explanation? Thanks....

The "redline" is your non-showdown winnings. Basically all the money you have made/lost without showing your hand at showdown. A downward sloping one suggests you put money in the pot then fold. This is usually from ABC poker raising with a hand then folding if you don't hit. It can also mean you are making bad continuation bets.

It isn't critical to have an upwards sloping line, especially at micro limits. The dark green (winnings) is the most important.
