Slow Playing: How do you deal with it politely?

We all have come across a player who takes forever to makea desision on what to do with his or her hand.
I know that some people do it on perpest so that they get closer
to the bubble to get a pay out, others do it to piss players off.
What is the gentleman's way of dealing with this issue?

I’ve seen this tanking situation get worse and worse over the last couple of years. I’m glad they are implementing shot clocks now. I understand some hands require time to think, but some players tank every hand when folding 72 is quite obviously the plan when facing an all in raise. Deliberately slowing the game to be annoying shouldn’t be a players strategy. The game should be fun to play not boring.

You should also keep in mind that they may be multitabling. Which may make it seem that they are tanking a lot when not necessary, but in reality, they are playing 10 tables.
Also when it comes to tanking near the bubble that is typical practice.

I don't think it's a big issue in online play. Each player is allowed the same amount of time per hand, and they are entitled to use it

When playing online in these situations, there is really very little you can do, the game allows x amount of time to each player, so complaining to the moderators is useless.
You have two choices, 1] ignore these players and stick to your game or 2] mirror the players actions until they either get the hint or are moved to another table due to table re-balancing.

if you're only playing a tournament that might upset you .. I do not mind this since I do the same just not to have betting patterns and timing responses. Poker is a game of patience too. then the way and wait for the opponent to play.

It is frustrating at times. To me really not so much, take your time and let the blinds get a little bigger. Then speed it up, lol..
If someone is going all in every hand as fast as they can, I will slow the game way down. Why let them scoop up all of the chips if you don't want to play bingo with him. I don't mean someone doing it a few times. I mean every hand for several rounds.

Before the bubble if any player use all the time to decide what to make, and some times him play more fast, you can use this to make some reads about the hand, you can make more press and win a lot of chips...

After the bubble is time for these people start with all in almost their hands, trying to double their chips, the action will be more fast, take care with your decision in theses situations.
