Smoking at the poker table

In Brazil, smoking is not allowed in any enclosed space. So this hasn't been a problem here for many years.

In the past it would be normal that smoking on the table was accepted. At one table 8 person smoked. And the air could be cut with a knife because of the smoke. But today it is only possible in a dirty bar.

there should not be any smoking at any table. it is a distraction and should not be tolerated. if someone needs to smoke, leave the table and go far away!

Smoking - to harm health - this is a fact. Moreover, now there are no normal cigarettes, one shit .... Passive smoking is 30% more harmful. And at the poker table you need to play poker, not smoke!

I can call myself a lifelong non-smoker although I have smoked both cigarettes and cigars as well as the odd reefer, probably well under a hundred in my 65 years and nothing since about 1984 at the latest.

Having said that I don't like the war on smoking, even though it has been all but won.

I understand you. I myself do not tolerate cigarette smoke and avoid smokers in every possible way. I believe that smoking is a completely meaningless and harmful habit. Personally, I have never smoked in my life. I prefer sports and because of this I always feel great and have never had health problems.

Cigarettes at the live poker table should be extremely prohibited , nobody is required to be a passive smoker breathing smoke from a smoker , I am against cigarettes in live tournaments , online the guy does what he wants , if he kills himself he can kill himself alone online and not killing other people in live tournaments, secondhand smokers also get sick.

Not aloud to smoke inside in Australia, I know there is places in Vegas where you can. I'd never play in these games even if it's super soft.

I understand your disgust, but poker goes with drinking and smoking just like peanut butter and jelly. This is a 170 year tradition.

I do not like cigarette (or cigar) smoke at the table and will avoid games that allow it. I do not allow it at my home games but do schedule breaks for those that do smoke.

I smoke but I wouldn’t want others to have to breathe in my smoke if they were a non smoker because at that point they are being forced to endure passive smoking

I am not smoking. Why? Because it's bad for my health. i am very meticulous when i talk about my health. I sleep 8 hours a day and doing cardio in a regular basis.

Smoking is a poison. Everyone knows this, but still many people still have not got rid of this habit. And unfortunately I am one of them. I have probably tried to quit smoking more than 100 times, but over time I still return to this habit. In general, I have been smoking for more than 20 years, I cough, I have problems with blood pressure, and I still continue to smoke. This is terrible.

I haven't played live in 3 years or so. The casino where I played, only the poker room was smoke free. I quit smoking 15 years ago.

It seems to me that smoking is everyone's personal business. Everyone, including smokers, knows about the health risks of smoking. But it seems to me that this shows others that this is discrimination on their part.
I do not smoke at the table because I respect the choice of those sitting at the table. But I also ask non-smokers to respect other people's choices when they smoke in proper places, which already limits the freedom of PERSONS who smoke. It's just that we all have to dispose of our freedom to the extent that it does not begin to limit the freedom of another person.
