Well they'll know where he is if they want him bad enough;), If the courts run anything like they do here and your wanted in another province for mnor charges, they'll just wait till you re enter the province as its now classified as too much on traveling expenses to ship everyone all around the place. He prob won't be able to get that cleared up before Nov, but now being high profile they might just pick him up, cause of pressure from citizens.

That would be some embarrassing sitting at the FT of the wsop to see officers handcuffing him at the table.

That's hilarious. Chalk one up for poker PR ... "no no we're not criminal and degerantes. EVERYONE plays poker!". What a goon. Hopefully this charge is cleared up for the final table's sake ... but I guess since he's not cleared it up in 5 years the courts will probably frown on that.

Chances Harrahs / ESPN get their lawyers involved to save the image of their product if anything comes of this?

That's a pretty big if, BTW - apparently it's only a misdemeanour charge.

Well in additional to the outstanding warrant for trespassing, there was also this...Eight years ago in Broward County, Rheem was convicted of dealing in stolen property and burglary, both felonies, as well as larceny and possession of marijuana, court records show. He was sentenced to four months jail time and 30 months probation.

Does that qualify now? :D

And yes, it'll be interesting to see how ESPN and Harrah's deal with this. If he clears up the warrant, I'm sure they'll spin it that poker turned his life around and he is a great guy now.

He can pay that off sooooo easily.... money buys your freedom. Especially with such menial crimes such as this. A good lawyer would annihilate these charges.

"...and here we are on day two of the final table. In case you missed it, the current chip leader took out 7 players within the first hour yeaterday. The only player he did not eliminate was Chino Rheem. Chino was able to outlast the other 7 players because he's currently in the clink and simply outlasted the blinds as the other players were eliminated. However, since Chino is still in lockup we will now cover the 5 hour blind off of the final table..." :D

He did his time for the felonies. The issue is a bench warrant for a trespassing charge... pffft... pay it off and go play poker.

Correct me if I'm wrong but a bench warrant is a warrant for your arrest, and he would have received the warrant for not appearing in court so therefor there is no fine?? Maybe he can pay a lawyer to appear on his behalf? But I don't think your allowed to leave the state if there is pending charges against you. This might end up becoming a high publicity case which they might even be harder on him to show the public justice is being served:confused: Elections are coming up to I wonder if that will have any impact.

Does this mean they can arrest Phil Hellmuth during his next tournament for possession of an offensive personality?

lol I would totally agree I wish we could vote to oust him soley based on his personality. I think some of the plays he makes has to do with ego. I wouldn't be afraid to call his reraise. But then again maybe thats why he is pro and I'm not.

can't you just see it now, sitting at the final table then they come & arrest him, don't you think he would get this taken care of before he makes such a public appearance, if not he'd just be asking for it IMO
