Sometimes I think boredom is more dangerous than tilt 😂

You fold for 20 minutes straight, get annoyed, then suddenly start convincing yourself that hands like K9o or weak suited aces are “playable” from bad positions.

A lot of bad sessions probably start from simply being tired of waiting.

Anyone else notice they play way worse when the table gets slow?

Boredom is the most dangerous. Boredom makes you do something, like go to work.😄😄😄

If you are bored you can probably play one more table or watch a video at the same time. No need to suffer through it or because of it.

Poker is a game of dicipline, even if your brain wants action it is better to stay calm.
Boredom creates impatience, and impatience creates bad ranges.
Staying focused is one main goal of playing poker ( so no videos/TV, 3 more tables, all these things lead to loss of focus)

I think you should analyze at what point in the tournament you decide not to play hands like AX or K9. There are times when they can be playable and you can get an advantage. But if you're referring to a time in the tournament when it's not appropriate, look for ways to avoid boredom. Consider another complementary activity, a low-risk cash game or a new tournament that is taking place simultaneously.

K9 is as playable hand as is police dog doing their job.
The same applies to weak suited aces since there are no unplayable hands..

But then again if someone does fold for 20+ minutes straight then it's probably understandable why they (seem to) lose their freakin' mind

Exactly. When the table slows down, your brain starts looking for action just to break the boredom 😂
Then hands like K9o suddenly become “maybe playable,” and before you realize it, you’re getting into marginal spots purely out of impatience.

The brain seeks constant stimulation, and when a session becomes repetitive, an unconscious need to create action emerges.

If the game seems too slow, you can always open another table. It really helps :)
