Generally, a min of 100 buy-in will put you on a comfortable situation, that's what I usually do, I saw some other players doing more like 400-500 buy-in which is more safer. Just adjust with you style, are you a guy who can take risks or not..

As a rule I limit myself to 10%

If I lose a hand to a bad beat I used to tilt, so now if I lose a buyin to a weird bad beat I will put myself in sit out and make some coffee while I calm down. When I get back on the table I’m clear headed again and ready to go.

but depending on what tournaments and games take place every day, if these are tournaments 1-2 dollars in which I play every day I spend no more than 10-20 dollars on them and try to win something in them to get my money back for buying tournaments and something else to win!

For me it is convenient to use 40 part bacroll daily. But in fact, I do not have a bankroll, because I often start from scratch (unfortunately), I lose money won in poker on slot machines in the casino.

A bankroll is supposed to be an amount of money, which protect a winning player from going broke due to a streak of bad luck AKA variance. So if you are "using" the money, then per definition its not a bankroll, its a budget.

And of course this is the reality for most players. Only a minority of players are winning, and only they can have a bankroll. Everyone else can only have a budget, since they will always lose their money in the end, if they continue playing long enough.

So maybe the real question here is, how do you make a poker budget. And I really dont think, there is any general answer to this, since it is so individual and personal. What is your financial situation, what are your family obligations, what other activities does playing poker compete with, how do you manage your money in general.

But for sure its probably not healthy, if you make new deposits after most of your sessions. Then its probably better to say, that your going to spend, I dont know, 50$ per month on playing poker, deposit these money after getting your paycheck and then not deposit again, until you have the next paycheck. In that way you force yourself to be at least a little bit disciplined, because losing it all in a single session mean, you can not play for the rest of the month.

I use 3-5% of my bankroll. But I never use more. I think such restrictions are a guarantee of financial stability of the player.
