Poker has never caused me any stress. Sometimes there were disappointments. If poker is stressful for you, I recommend that you rethink your bankroll management system. Usually only playing at high stakes brings stress to players.

I only play for the money I can afford to spend, so I do not feel stressed. But if you lose money that you can not afford to lose, then it is definitely stressful. The best way out of such a stressful situation is usually a break.

One of my biggest leaks, this game is gonna give me a heartattack, one of the reason I quit for a year and sort of getting the itch to play. But Im gonna actually work on anger and letting poker consume me after its over and see if I can become better

Hello.
I meditate twice a day, and because of this I do not feel stress. Moreover, thanks to meditation I always have a good mood and I get only positive emotions from the game.

OP if poker is stressing you then you might have a problem. I don't know you or your lifestyle to come to that conclusion. I speak from experience.

When I first stared playing, poker was fun.

It was fun because it didn't have a control over my life. I played when I wanted to and was always happy playing. I found some success early and let it get to my head.

Poker became stressful for me when I turned it into a job. All of a sudden, I'm not spending time with friends or family, missing important events, not eating well, not exercising or doing any of the other things that made me HAPPY!! Poker had a complete grip over my life.

If any of this sounds familiar, then you need to step away from the game. How long? I can't say, that's up to you. I do guarantee one thing though. When you decide to come back, it won't be stressful.

Cheers!

There are always days when the card does not go and this happens at all rooms on that day. If you see this situation, shut down your computer and do not play, much less try to recoup. Switch your attention, turn on your favorite music, watch a good movie.

I cope with it by taking a break for the day. There are some days when even if you play well variance just hits you again and again. If that happens i just stop playing for this day.

Poker can be stressful at times and frustrating. In tournaments sometimes I get stressed when I get a good hand and another player goes all-in before the flop and I have to fold because I don't want to risk it. You just have to be patient and your time to pounce will come.

As well as I am a recreational player and my limits are low I try not to compromise but than ten percent of my bankroll it helps me not to be stressed with crumbling days

Exercise then relax. Be thankful for your good health. Be thankful for your families good health. Read a poker book. Re-read a poker book.

It's a terrible feeling when you lose your entire bankroll or a huge amount of chips at a table. It's really stressful; It's even hard to sleep. But we must find a way to deal with it for good.
But after a natural break, we're back for more.

poker only makes me tired. But in any case, even if there is stress, you need to take a break from the game.

unfortunately poker happens a lot, but you have to know how to control your emotions, because a bad day will always be present

I believe that stress in poker comes from the fact that your expectations do not correspond to reality. That is, when you enter the game, you are ready to tear everyone up, but some "donkey" with pocket 6 3 moves your top pair... Hence the stress, tilt and all. If you learn to respond to all this with a smile, then there will be no stress, only the pleasure of the game. Personally I think so))

It can happen to anyone. The best thing is to rest 1 or 2 days, there is no need to worry, the tables will still be there.

When you can replace losses with victories, the stress goes away and what remains is the joy of winning a lot of money with poker.

The stress caused by poker is common, unfortunately. I try to do something else - watch a movie, play any other game, just not poker. I take at least 3 days off from poker. and about myself I always say wise words - and it will pass)). Downstream will be replaced by upstream.

You're talking about yesterday? yes, that was so stressful, that I took a day off today. Losing every single coinflip, although I was always ahead, was hard to handle. Last one was in the last PS Marathon (I told myself to play tight as a rock, I need to cash) and bet 3 BB wit KK UTG+1, middle position raises 3 times my bet and I said ok, let's shove. What shall I say, he turned over JJ, I lost and shut off the computer... :shot:

You are streessed cause of you get lost many times , when you approach near winning , a last couple of monthss i had not winning on top place , i feel a little bit frustrated . But stucking in the past is not a good way , be present , accept the mistakes and fix them , and life is a shipkreck and not forget to sing in lifeboat .
