Stupid poker, Try it?

Me and my friends are big poker players and we are always looking for new variants of poker so it doesn't get old. Recently we invented a new poker game while messing around with the deck. We showed it to our friend and he said it was more fun the most variants on poker. So I want your opinions. try it out and tell me what you think.


Stupid poker:

Played with a standard poker deck.
No jokers
aces high or low

Preparing the deck:
Cut the deck approx. one half. Flip one half of the deck over and shuffle both halves together. Shuffle till face up and face down cards appear well mixed.

Deal:
Deal 7 cards to each player starting to left of dealer. Leave all face up cards on table for all other players to see. keep all face down cards in your hands. other players are not obligated to know what cards are in your hand.

Bet:
Bet or check round as in standard poker or according to house rules.

Exchange:
Any player may exchange up to 4 cards, in his hand or on the table for cards from the deck. all cards that are handed out face up on exchange are to remain face up on the table. all discarded cards are to be placed face down away from the players cards in play.

Bet:
Bet or check round as in standard poker or according to house rules.

Showdown:
Rid your hand and/or the field of 2 cards that do NOT attribute to your hand. Show the Five remaining cards to make a poker hand, as in standard poker or according to house rules.


That's it. Kinda confusing at first but after you get the hang of it, it;s quite fun.:withstupi

hmmm...so it's possilbe to get all 7 cards face up seeing as shuffling is never that accurate? It could be simpler (and more fair) to just hand 3 or 4 open cards per player and continue the game as you wanted to no?

As long as theres a chance of it happening to any player at anytime i see it as fair. and during the exchange phase you can get rid of cards off the field and hope for face down cards from the deck. but the chances of getting all cards face up is very low. I been close before. but not all seven. but in the case (cuz anything is possible) maybe a mandatory showdown may be in order, but only if you have 7 cards down on after the exchange.

cute is cool when you get tired of the new game there are 100's of different poker games already out there that are fun too . you should come up with better name in case it catches on , something with your name in it lol

I see alot of folding in this game. "Well i see what most of your cards are, and i dont feel that the blinds are high enough yet so im not gonna risk a draw of 4 cards. I fold..... and then U fold then I fold THIS IS FUN

Why not try it with texas holdem and if the board ards are down you dont see them untill the show down?

played it last night and i had a full hand of cards, and my friend had all but one card showing. also the poker list got longer cuz we once again made another variant of poker. thats 8 games on the list

o my good it works amazingly for me. you should try it again with patience.

can someone possibly explain to me the complex and interesting rules of pineapple? i tried to play it online but i did not understand, the only kinda crazy game i klnow how to play is baseball, but that is basically straight forward.

Along with a case of beer and this game sounds great, at half time a stripper woulld cap the evening, gl and havee fun.
