I busted out of three tournaments today with pocket 8s. This is how superstitions get started. Do you have any poker superstitions ?

I think is not a matter of luck or superstition is more about variance. Sometimes you will win with good hands and other times you will hit the "lucky" card.
Poker sometimes is cruel. Hehehe

I try not to predict what the next card will be when I'm all in with caller and river is coming...seems like every time I think his/her two pair card will hit it does...so I try to NOT be pessimistic when river card is coming...Or how about when you have AA vs KK and you think DOMINATED...than the king comes...DOH!!!

For me, no, this is a game in which my card plays well or does not play at all, I do not know how about such moments and superstitions, but I used to happen that I flew from tournaments with pair KK 2-3 times in a row, and it happened that in every tournament I was good at playing pairs 66-77-88, it's better you then carefully play on small pairs or fold then such small pairs if the players are playing all-in!

After so much that I have tried to learn about this wonderful game of poker ... I am convinced that in poker there is no superstition or luck ... every hand of poker has a percentage of chances of winning or losing .. to that we call variance ... and it will always be our decision whether we play a hand or not ... what does exist are the preferences each player has for a particular hand ..!

I'dont in superstition but at the same time, starting tournaments with negative mentality, usually this day does not give good and so can tiltar easily.

Unlike days, which working the mindset previously, your positive mindset leads you to try to play with mindfulness.

I personally do not like having superstitions, however, here and Acula, I end up holding on to such beliefs.

I can not deny that I have my preferences numbers or suits of cards, for indeed I have, but I always try not to make it a preferred initial amulet or hand about to make this a religion.

And let it go all out to the tables, knowing and believing that in the long term, well thought out game, will bring big profits ... !!!

I am superstitious I think that when the table is giving a mabo will continue to give as well as high low stairs or colors and sometimes game based on that if you are giving stairs is going to give sometimes gives sometimes

I do not believe in superstition and just play. At the beginning of the poker career, it was illusion that I'll think about one card and it will fall on the table. Well, I'm not a psychic that would be so.))

Not sure if this would qualify as a superstition, but I shied away from AA for a long time. I kid you not. I was playing brick and mortar only a few years back when I had a 3 month plus run of a statistical anomaly.
I was tracking different aspects of my play and I noticed I was losing more than winning with pocket AA. So, I ran an experiment where I played very aggressively pre-flop to reduce the players in the pot down to two.
My wins were 1 out of 5. I was losing 4/5 in isolated pre-flop to heads-up only play.
This kinda freaked me out even though I understood that over many more hands probabilities would even out the rough patches and, ultimately, I would win 4/5 of these situations.
I didn't go back to a B&M casino for two years.

1. 88 is mad negative EV unless you are flying under 13 BBs... second, i don't trust any online sites anymore... i played 90% online,,, i am not giving them my money anymore. so there is a superstition! -only live from now on

I believe that if dropped 108 on Board. And in the next hand you get 108, it is unlikely that they will fall again in a row. Although this is not superstition. No, I have no superstitions. I just know what to do and what not to do.
