Take your doubts about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies here

I have seen many community members insecure and doubtful about cryptocurrencies and transactions in poker rooms, as well as all the people in the world who are following the growth of this new technology.

I am willing here in this post to share my knowledge about cryptocurrencies and help take the insecurity out of fellows who need help in this matter. One of the sectors most favored by this technology will certainly be ours.
So please feel free, whoever you are, to ask any questions you may have regarding cryptocurrency technology and how it can help player transact with poker sites and send and receive your USD safely, quickly and fairly without abusive fees and difficulties that banks and laws impose on us. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are on our side.
Ask what you want.

Best regards

I have been using cryptocurrency for more than two years for transactions related to depositing and withdrawing funds. I made sure it was a very fast, convenient and safe way. I believe that currently using cryptocurrency is the best way to withdraw or deposit.

I think bitcoin will drop hard soon, within 4 months.
I'm thinking to around 10k. I don't know why I'm scared of this, but I'm thinking ditch it then buy back when it goes back up. What are your thoughts? Go sky high or pretty much stay?

You're talking from an investor's point of view. I say from the point of view of its foundation and its usefulness for us and also for society.
But if you want to know what I think about oscillations, it will happen very often. You have to have your point of view on this as it is a risky market with very large fluctuations.
Answering your question, my opinion is that his fund is around 30k to 40k, I don't believe he can go below 30k and I dare say that 38k is a fund thanks to the biggest Bitcoin holders (Musk and Saylor ), if they decide to sell, then yes, we can say that Bitcoin can reach 0. But I don't like to comment on this because we must have our own theses about the price, no one knows what can happen, otherwise we would all be rich. There are many external factors happening, pandemic, risk of war, interest rate, inflation, regulations... these are things that affect prices a lot. So it's good that everyone informs himself in his own way and has his own conclusions about the market price. In the long run I think it's a virtually unbeatable foundation.

Its a brand new technology - I think the blockchain aspect of the technology rather than the cryptocurrency itself is the revolutionary long-sustaining tech we will be taking advantage for years to come.

Also I think cryptocurrency could be looked as the antithesis to modern day banking - Currently we are operating under an infinite money machine and inflation interest rates and whatnot are situational based on how much we pump into circulation. Bitcoin, specifically, has a finite amount and has more to do with scarcity and year-on-year (in the long run atleast) GROWTH rather than depreciation.

Its a big topic and I dont want to write an essay :D

I stay away because I don't understand. If these currencies aren't backed by governments they must be backed by someone. What if they are Russian oligarchs? I think they will crash in these uncertain times.

The foundation of all this is called blockchain, and they are supported by all those who adhere to it. Within the blockchain the money used is cryptocurrency. You can get your dollars quickly using a blockchain, that means someone buys $100 worth of Bitcoin and sends it to you, you receive the Bitcoins and sell them on an exchange and withdraw your dollars. Within the blockchain, money is called cryptocurrency and each blockchain has its own specific currency.

I am concerned about the fact that it is not supported by anything, for example, like ordinary money! But I see that it is becoming more and more popular, and I want to try using cryptocurrency, but there is some kind of fear! Good luck at the tables!

I was surprised that crypto didn't pull back a little more when they announced the US government was starting a task force for it. But yeah, it is definitely the easiest way to move money around on the poker sites so I hope it stays fairly strong in the future.

i would like to start withdrawing my winnings and investing in crypto... i play mostly on pokerstars and 888. i don't really want to add another site to be able to use crypto. seems like lots of fees, crazy min withdrawal amounts, etc etc.... so i'm wondering how i can do that with these sites?

i did look and see that skrill is one way to do it, but then i see lots of negative stuff about skrill being a scam... i thought about paypal, but in canada they don't offer crypto... plus, PS has a policy where your withdrawals are applied to your earliest deposit methods first.... so, even if i deposit with skrill i'll have to withdraw to my bank account until i've matched my deposit amounts.... so, to me this doesn't make sense.... i might as well withdraw to my bank account and use a crypto App to but btc...

anyways, does anyone in canada play on these sites and have experience using btc? if so, how do you do it?

thansk so much for starting this thread... exactly what i was looking for!!

thanks

here's an example on withdrawal policy from 888, which is pretty much the same as PS....

When you request a withdrawal, if possible, your withdrawal will be paid automatically to the payment method(s) for which you have established a positive Member Transaction Balance.

  • On Monday you deposit 50 (in your currency) by Visa credit card;
  • On Tuesday you deposit 50 (in your currency) by NETELLER;
  • On Wednesday you deposit another 50 (in your currency) by Visa credit card;
  • On Thursday you deposit 50 (in your currency) by Skrill;
  • On Friday you Deposit 50 (in your currency) by PayPal;
  • Your Member Transaction Balance now equals 250 (in your currency):
a. 100 on Visa credit card;
b. 50 on Skrill;
c. 50 on NETELLER;
d. 50 on PayPal.

On Sunday you request a 450 (in your currency) withdrawal.
The first 250 (in your currency) of your withdrawal (up to your Member' Transaction Balance) will be automatically paid to you in a manner such as follows:

  • 100 (in your currency) will be paid to your Visa Credit Card Account(s)
  • 50 (in your currency) will be paid to your Skrill Account;
  • 50 (in your currency) will be paid to your NETELLER Account;
  • 50 (in your currency) will be paid to your PayPal Account;
  • Your Member Transaction Balance now equals 0.
Your 200 (in your currency) "Remaining Withdrawal Balance"*** will be paid to you according to your chosen payment method(s):

  • Visa credit/debit card(s) (in accordance with the withdrawal limit permitted by the Visa credit/debit card issuer), or;
  • NETELLER (if you have deposited to your 888poker account by this payment method in the past), or;
  • Skrill (if you have deposited to your 888poker account by this payment method in the past), or;
  • PayPal (if you have Deposited to your 888poker account by this payment method in the past), or;
  • Wire Transfer (if you did not use cards as mentioned in section 1 and 2 above or MasterCard credit cards that were issued in the UK and Europe), or;
  • UK credit cards via BACS (if you have deposited to your 888poker account by Visa and/or MasterCard credit cards that were issued in the UK only).

I currently transfer funds directly between my bank account and a regulated poker site. I trust my bank and I trust the poker site. It's "very fast, convenient and safe" with no fees. I don't think anyone would suggest changing to crypto in this scenario.

I'm assuming you use crypto to protect yourself from unregulated poker sites that you don't trust? Cryprto seems to me to also have a big downside to folks who are not active traders and hence stand to lose (possibly big) due to unanticipated fluctuations in the crypto markets.

There's no way it would drop that far, it's probably going to go up and have another run here soon as companies announce they're going to accept bitcoin as payment and as Russia buys and gets paid in bitcoin 👍

Cryptocurrencies are safe but I dont use bitcoin for transactions because it is too much expensive to pay that expensive and slow transactions better I use USDT on network TRC-20 for transfer money,or some other kind of crypto which is accepted on poker and it is faster and cheaper.

You may find that those of us who have been playing for quite awhile are somewhat skeptical about "virtual" or 3rd party "bankers" like ewalletexpress.
Back a few years ago, these sites would just disappear with your money. You could deposit onto poker sites with a credit/debit card, but the credit card companies wouldn't allow you to withdraw to it.
I have used bitcoin to withdraw, but I am not fully educated about the ins and outs.
For example, can I withdraw from one site and put it directly into another.
Can I withdraw directly to say Coinbase Pro and then to my bank.
Do I have to use a wallet like Blockchain then deposit to Coinbase Pro to avoid violating the Terms of use

At the present time, my attitude towards bitcoins and other electronic payment systems has changed very much. This happened due to the fact that at any time the funds can be frozen in the accounts or the Internet resources will stop cooperating and accepting payments from certain payment systems. And this can happen not even because of a violation of the rules for using the system, but because of a sanction to the country where the person is located, for example. More reliable is what you feel in your hands, something on which certain guarantees are taxed, namely banknotes. This is my point of view.

To use cryptocurrency, it is not necessary to register on the site using an email address and password. Just download the app on your smartphone and you can send/receive funds in minutes. Bitcoin is decentralized, censorship resistant, secure and borderless. alders believe that having these qualities, combined with global availability and high liquidity, makes it an ideal vehicle for maintaining wealth over long periods. They believe that the value of bitcoin only continues to grow over time.

What does your question have to do with the practicality of depositing and withdrawing your funds??

That's what we're talking about here
