Playing poker everyday is definetelly bad habit. Sometimes a little rest of poker to analizing your game gives you a good experience.

I devote to poker a day (depends on the tournament 4 hours, but sometimes I take a break 2 to 3 days and then I go back to playing again

If you spend the entire monthly income in one day and if you can, I think it's a must :D

Some of the pros would say yes. One of the books I read, Tom McEvoy said if he just hits a rut, he goes play golf for a few weeks, then comes back refreshed.

A solid player should do this, but sometimes if you just hit a bad run it might make you want to just go hog wild entering tournaments, when you might want to step back, relax and not go on a tilt run. When I said a solid player shouldn't do this, I meant go on tilt.

When poker starts to disrupt your personal life or the pleasure in playing has diminished, I think a break is necessary.

If you're losing a lot of money, I think you need to take a break from poker.

I just returned from a poker vacation and I think that long pauses are not good, but a pause for a day or two is very useful

It depends on how much you play. Generally it is good advice to have at least one day in week without poker even if you are pro player. If you feel exhausted and in bad shape is better to take a break instead of continuing playing bad and loosing money.

Very important topic. Of course sometimes it is neccessary! If you are losing for a longer period or you whole bankroll runs into danger it is indispensable to take a break.

If poker stress you, probably it's time to take a break, study poker, relax and try not play poker. If you lost many times you can study more and play less.

I just came back from a couple month break.
I wasn't enjoying playing anymore, It felt like something I had to do on my days off.
And was wasting my free time.
Doing anything everyday will burn you out eventually.

Maybe if I play poker every day at some point I feel like I should retire for a while. Everyone should self-analyze and make the best decisions so as not to get into a dangerous skid.

I think that you need to rest and take a break. Not only from work, even from your favorite activities and games. Especially if there was a black streak in poker. Take a break to review your strategy and work on your mistakes.

After ACR’s MOSS 2019 tournaments I decided to take a break from poker. I didn’t buy in for the remainder of the year

So in a way I took almost a calendar year off. I feel refreshed and excited to play again. I lost that excitement last year. That break from poker was the longest I’ve ever gone without playing since I started back in 2002.

People need a break from time to time, if the downswing is causing you to tilt your stack or bankroll, then I would say a break is a needed, but use that break to go over some content, study watch vids read books review your hands, poker is ment to be a fun game,

It’s necessary to take a break from poker. If you play without long breaks, concentration and motivation are simply lost. I always turn poker out of my life for 3-4 days within a month. The ideal option is 5 days of play, 2 days off.

for me poker is not the main form of earnings, there is not much time for theory. but sometimes you get tired purely psychologically and morally

Yes, everybody should do it time to time. I believe the best way to recover and reload yourself is a trip to another country.
