I recently read Mike Caro's book (can't think of the name) where he says that if someone is thinking about what to do, you can tell them "I might be bluffing, this time."

I've used this line several times and got the call every time. I was curious about what are some other things to say to get a call. I don't want to use the same line over and over again incase my opponents pick up on it.

If I were you, I wouldn't call. With a smirk.

I had aq a few days ago... I hit the k on the flop. My aponent put out a small bet..

I called, then he bet the turn and I called again...

Then I said in the chat box "I Dont Think You Have The King...! I Think You Are Full Of S#*#!

Then I went all in... He thought about it for a long time then called.

then I said.. I told you... you didnt have it! lmao

Needless to say I won the pot. He figured since I said this that... I didnt have the k and his low card was good. :)

I'm just amazed that you hit your K when you had AQ, damn you're good. :D

The book is called Mlike Caros most profitable holdem advice...really good book but a little outdated.

You went all in on the river with just a pair good kicker? Was tournament right? Maybe 6max?

Be careful when trying to induce players by purposely manipulating tells/words/signals, etc. If you misread your opponent you may just get the opposite result originally expected. Sometimes it's best to just play it straight. jmho. But if it's workin' for you, good stuff... I might test it out...

I've found that trying to talk people into calls/folds doesn't work at all in online poker. Maybe in live poker where they can see your face while you say it is better, but I've never had success doing it online. Haha maybe im just not doing it right...

I agree with you... I'll add that it does have an effect tho'. Normally it makes me respond to the "talker" with stfu and play your f'n cards. In essence it pisses me off... so I don't go on tilt I sometimes respond directly after the comment with "chat off <player name>"... I obviously don't like the newbie attempted "jedi mind" tricks that come with all the talking... I figure we here to play... just play... I think some players do this to annoy tha sh*t outta people. If so, with me it works... If their goal is to have an enemy at tha table...

here is a situation for you: middle stages of a live tournament, i open shove in the CO, folded to the BB and he tanks. after about a minute he asks me "what do you want me to do?" lol.

so i said, "what do i have to say to get you to call?"

he ended up calling but really wanted him to fold. guess i messed that one up.
