I for one found the small autobiography in Doyle Brunsons Super System to be a very interesting read indeed.

It seems to me that a movie about his rags to riches story and his lifes up and down struggles would make one hell of a good poker movie if it is filmed correctly by a good director with a good cast.

Would you like to see a well made movie about this living legend of poker?

If so, What would be a good title for the film?

What say you?:hmmmm:

I agree I think Doyle's story would make a great movie with the right producers and etc to put it all together ... I have seen far less ineresting poker movies as of late make it big at the box offices

I also think Doyle has had an interesting life and would love to see a movie done about him. The Legend would seem a good choice.. (boring but...)

I watch Poker After Dark pretty much everyday and He's always got a story to tell about something, and since he's been around the poker world for so long I'm sure he's got some old school saloon type stories. I've heard hom say things like, "he pulled his gun", or "He was shot" things like that and It just reminded me of some old cowboy movie or something. I'd call the movie "Ten Duece" or maybe just Dolly.

i like the idea of ten deuce but i think that dolly or something like big papa would be pretty cool, as i think it should be a story about his life and not just a poker hand.

just my opinion.

good thread, i like this!

nah, would be boring imo. why? coz we already know the story/details - any decent poker player has read super system. if you havent, shame on you , FISH! lol
rather see a chris moneymaker movie title "Moneymaker"
he is the main reason why poker became soooo hip and in. the name says it all.

From the basketball playing college days to how he damaged his leg to travelling on the road playing poker in the dodgy rooms of old :top:

Maybe with Danny de Vito as Freddy Deeb :D

Seems it could be a powerful argument for the 'legalization' of online poker if done right. From the rough Old West days of poker to the regulation via State/Casino co-operation, to an unregulated online poker to thoughts about how society can benefit from the 'taming' of poker.

And the world doesn't have long to get this story told right.

Best done for TV IMO, not the big screen.

I voted yes

A very good tv movie for sure. My vote is yes and I would think it would be an entertaining flick. The best question might be who would your pick to play Dolly?

I thought about that for a while and my pick was Jack Nicholson or Tom Arnold.

I like Jack Nicholson as an actor but he doesn't really seem like the Doyle type to me, so Ill say Tom Arnold. Doyle always has great stories, I think I saw a video once about a gun being held to his face.
