Since I don't play a lot of live games, I like to just handle cards and chips at my desk when playing online. Practice my shuffling, chip tricks, etc. Offers a mindless bit of distraction, while keeping my card fingers in shape. Always afraid I'll get rusty and embarrass myself by fumbling around or misdealing at a real table.

RammerJammer's got the right idea. Except, since I'm right-handed, I have to practice the chip tricks with my left hand while playing online, which of course doesn't work very well.:fisheye:

Music, defintly, I must be listining to music at all times, at times I'll eat or mabey shuffle cards and do chip tricks.

I watch a lot of movies while playing poker. if it's a serious tourney, I put on a movie I've already seen so I'll be occupied but not distracted.

Playing with a stack of chips alows me to stay focused during those long tourney's. Sometimes I'll have some music playing at low volume in the background as well.

Yup im with the shuffling, sometiems movies also and alot of music. But as Nitrik says when its load it does distract me sometimes.

And too much heavy rock seems to affect my play, need to mix it up.
