She wants to play the part of an annoying bitch then so be it. If it helps then good for her. Whatever to get you further along. How about that one guy who didn't shower for 10 days. You don't think his "personality" put player's off their game? I see nothing wrong with what she did.

I'll say straight up that I found the turning tricks comment silly and distasteful too.

And I did say back on the first page that it's possible all this was an act, an attempt to put the other players on tilt. Let's face it, she is (or was, whatever) a friend of Tony G's, and that's his strategy as well.

If that's a choice she's made though, she must have done it understanding that this kind of reaction is a natural consequence.

The guy who didn't wash for ten days got called a douche, and rightly so. Jamie Gold got called all sorts of things. Shawn Sheikahn gets called all sorts of things. Tony G cops all kinds of flak. For better or worse, they've done some douchey things on camera and they can't really be surprised when people comment negatively on what they see.

Tiffany Michelle is being treated no different.

This is a very douchy comment. Because she's a young good looking female the only way she can make money is by spreading her legs? This comment is highly offensive to me.

Sorry guys but I saw nothing bad about her behavior. She was trying to put the table chip leader on tilt. Good strategy if you get the cards to do it with.

I've seen a lot of other players do the same. And worse. It's all part of the game. Anything to put a player off their game. How about Raymer's glasses? Those things were bizarre. You know they gave him an edge over some players.

You're really going to compare Raymer's glasses to calling the clock, eating with your hands while playing, etc.?

First of all, she is a hotty without a doubt.
Low standards I guess?
NascarFanSS said:
Second, if you read her statement up there her story sounded and was at the very least much more well written than that of pokernews. PNs statement came off as childish jealousy because they obviously had other plans that were squashed when she made a deal with people that made her feel comfortable.
They paid for her entry fee. To take an entry fee from one place and then dump them in the middle of the event and take another deal that violates the old one is wrong. I hope she loses the court battle and has to pay a shitload of money to PN.
NascarFanSS said:
I can't say wether or not she was wearing one or both logos for I don't pay that much attention however she is a big girl and can decide whos toes to step on and whos not too.
Yep, she's a big girl and can suffer the consequences of breaking an agreement and being a bitch to not only other players but to the group of people who paid for her entry fee.

Therefore I don't think when you draw attention to yourself because of your gender that you can then claim that it's other peoples' faults for picking on the girl.

I agree, which is why I said I believe that KNOWING she was getting that kind of intensive attention BECAUSE SHE WAS A WOMAN she should have conducted herself in a more graceful manner.

You know, I don't want to start a battle of the sexes here at all. I don't like the way Michelle acted, but comments like "she'll be back turning tricks" and "I'd still bang her to kingdome come" bother me just a bit. Women poker players put up with a lot of sexism whether men poker players want to admit it or not. No matter how successful players like Clonie Gowen or Vanessa Russo are, the most posts you'll ever see about them on the message board are about how hot they are, not about how well or badly they play. Kathy Liebert and JJ Liu are very solid, successful card players, but most of what we read here about them are how ugly they are. It doesn't offend me at all, but it is very real.

I play mostly in live events. It never fails that someone at the table tells me to go make them a sandwich. It never fails that someone makes a crude comment about how I belong in their bedroom and not at their poker table. Do I use my feminine wiles to my advantage? Yeah, I admit sometimes I do - but the only players those wiles work on are the ones who think I should go back to "turning tricks" instead of playing poker.

I wish every woman could be Jennifer Harmon - classy and allowed to let her card playing do all her talking. Sadly Michelle was acting like a douche. It's fine to call her out on that, but it's not fine to link her douchiness to making her only suitable for prostitution.

lol was reading the 2+2 thread about tiffany M. and its so funny, she tries to defend herself about it being a "joke" and she was just playing.

TM: First, the Craig things was terribly edited... I'm pretty sure he'll even tell you that we were having a fun banter back and forth where I was picking on him (in good nature) about how long he took to make decisions every hand. He was laughing about it!

Then Craig Marquis from the final table, who played with TM for the greater part of the final 27 or so players came onto the forum and posted this...

Yeah. This is all well and good after the fact, but you were extremely disrespectful and unbelievably rude while we were playing in just about every situation you could be. I feel like those 7 edited episodes accurately depicted your behavior during the tournament, and you can say it was "your table face" or whatever, but your calling the clock during the Paul Snead and Scott Montgomery hand in what is probably the most stressful situation the man has ever been just boggles my mind. Also this is coming from somebody who is judging you entirely on his personal experience with you, not from the any media-skewed perspective.

Great post Genso! :)

I haven't watched all the main event coverage yet but did find it a little sad that she was rooting for the other women to be knocked out rather than for all of them to make it as far as possible -- or better yet not care about the gender of any remaining players.

As for the apparently critically important topic of looks, Tiffany and Gus Hansen would make very handsome, large-jawed babies if they got together. I think she's gorgeous.

Why is it Poker seems to bring out the worst in people.
Is it the money?
Being on TV?
Or are some people just plain A-holes? (Don't bother answering that one!)

Hellmuth launches into tirade after tirade when he's at the tables (always make for enjoyable TV) but many of the other pros say he is generous and a good human being.

Matusow is a loudmouth but again people say he is a good guy.

It seems that more and more of the players we see on TV just can't help themselves. I am tired of watching players High Five the crowds, screaming as they hit the one outer, or just acting stupid.
Show a little respect for the game, the other players and yourself, accept the win or the defeat with dignity and move on.

Tiffany

Tiffany, came off as a total winch. She had played real well to get to the final 27 however she must have just lost it that day. I am not taking up for her behavior someone should have stitched her mouth together because she has to know what she is doing just to get to that point. Maybe the cameras, lights and so forth just through her off her game. Who knows with women. P.S. I do agree with one comment. I would not kick her out of bed unless she just wanted to get on the floor!!!:)

I think she was trying to show her gift of gab abilities and it crashed and burned on t.v. and she felt embarresed and when you get backed into a corner you must grawl and snarl  . Thats where we saw her being arrogant. Its was a nutural reaction of her defending her inexpirience of the great gift of gab.

I didn't have much respect for her either. The clock calling was uncalled for and the eating bit was just gross. Even at my local casino the dealers are 'always' commenting about how gross the chips are. Coughing, sneezing, unwashed hands from the bathroom...the list goes on. Yuck!

Kahn being funny >>>>>>> tiffany m. being a grade A Bitch

Funny?? He was a total jerk, jumping around like a freaking idiot everytime he won a hand....Does he do this in his house when he's playing 33 sit and goes??

I haven't seen the episode you all are talking about yet....but, why does everyone seem to think that you have to be NICE at the poker table.....as far as calling the clock?? Does anyone actually know how long the wait was? We have to remember, that blinds are going up as this guy takes his sweet time to figure out what he's doing, I think there should be a two minute rule or something to that effect.....If you go two minutes you get an autoclock, one more minute to act or you're done. If calling for the clock is bad ettiquette and totally classless, then why does the wsop allow it....I mean they "claim" you cannot call someone an idiot at the table, simply because it's classless and bad ettiquette. On top of the calling the clock is allowed..and other posts have said she was short stacked. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, she thought the guy was taking his time to make the blinds/antes go up to help put her out faster....which is also classless.

It bugs me so bad when someone who is 45 people from the money starts riding the clock in hopes that his short stack makes it to the money, don't the short stacks realize that while they're waiting..Blinds are going up?

Also thought she was a rude, crass trying to be cute and not pulling it off brat. When she ran over to watch the last woman eliminated and then skipped back clicking her heels I couldn't wait for her to get rung up. Seems like alot of insecurity there. Then when at the final 27 and the one guy was talking about flying friends and family in for the occasion and she said..."Some of us have been here before", I hope she was referring to Vegas cause she's never been that far into the WSOP. And this is NOT a gender thing rude people are the worst period. I did happen to love when she called out the guy for his slow play and he bluffed her off the hand and then showed his crappy cards to her. She looked like someone stole one of her cheap costume jewelry rings:D

I agree with CrazyFool. I think the pressure got to her and she showed an unpleasant side to her personality. I think her choice of hat showed her to be conceited also

yea you should probably go watch the WSOP episode in question.

calling the clock, on a hand you are not in, when there are 18 people left to go to the final table of the most prestigious tournament in the world, with a 9 million first place prize, is a pure scum move and will make the player calling the clock a 100% douchebag.

And she had 50 BB, with 2 hour blind levels.... yeah.

Well I was disappointed to see her behaving the way she was. I remember following the Main Event through the online updates and thought how much good she can do for poker if she made the final table. Now after having watched her, I'm glad she didn't make it that far.

If I recall the online updates (and note that I'm not sure if my memory is correct or not), she had an axe to grind with the guy who was deliberating. I can't exactly recall what the issue was but I thought I read about it somewhere - problem is I can't find that particular post. I'm not justifying her actions in any way though. I would've preferred to have seen the woman from Tennessee or Kara Scott be the last woman standing.

Thanks for posting Tony G's comment zachvac - good to know the other side of the story.

I'm not sure what the clock/blind situation was. If she really was short stacked and the blinds were about to go up on her BB. she might have felt obligated to call a clock. Kinda like being obligated to call an all in of 2,000 with 76 when you have 1,500 invested and a stack of 80,000.

Reports are her stack was 50BB at that stage. In a tournament with two-hour levels - so even if the blinds were about to go up in a few minutes time, it wasn't the end of the world.

why not watch the video? why not read any posts about exactly how many bb she had as I stated like 3 posts ago? why post this?
