I have also wondered about those guys who play a lot of high stakes cash games. There is no way those guys are sticking to solid bankroll management--that would mean they all have around 50-100million in the bank, which I seriously doubt. Even those like Ivey who do likely have that much money did not start out with 100 million in their roll. If you win a tournament for 1 million, and that is 90% or more of your bankroll, why would you ever go risk so much of it in such a short period of time? That's what Jamie Gold did, and he had to sell his bracelet because of it.

I think a lot of those guys have an issue with gambling addiction, and they just have so much money coming in from who knows where that they can continue playing like that. Very few of them have the actual bankroll to play half or 1 million buy in cash games without risking a large percent of themselves in the process.
