Tom Dwan or Daniel Negreanu?

Dwuan vs Negreanu

Good afternoon everyone.
In my opinion, Daniel is technically better.
But I prefer Tom's style of behaving at the table.
I'm not a fan of this playful Daniel style.
But if I have to bet money on either of them to stand in front of an Mtt, I choose Daniel.

Daniel is my favorite player. Someone above wrote that he lives for the show rather than the game. I think Daniel finds the balance and poker needs the show.

Isn't the top reg view that Dwan isn't all that? Cates cleaned him out and he did a runner, no respect for that. Lost the game refused to play the rest of it.

Saying that I love his bluff against Ivey for silly money with nothing. Ivey folds a pair of 5's but was itching to call him with like 4th pair or something.

Negreanu seems like a sound guy, but maybe its all PR

Daniel Negreanu is attractive to me as a person. He is positive, with a sense of humor, a good conversationalist. An excellent player and this proves every year, the old school is always a priority in life.

I like to see durrr come play and play online.

I think by far it is and will continue to be the best of all is Mr. Daniel negreannu

For me is Tom Dwan

To be honest they are both a very good players i think. So no point to choose, who is better.

Daniel Negreanu is my choice. I am sure others will disagree.

With all due respect to my friend, I believe they are very different situations, Negreanu and Brunson, are so-called players of MTT tournaments, when they sit at a cash game table, I believe it is much more for marketing, than playing really for pleasure.

Maybe!
But I think Negreanu and Brunson represent the true essence of poker, just like Hellmuth they arguably the best tournament players.

I'm not an expert in determining who is better, but my sympathies are always on Negreanu's side, no matter which player I compare him to.

Dnegs stabbed the community in the back on several occasions and even was on record as saying F the pros.

Dwan doesnt honour his bets.

These are not decent people I will respect or admire. They are both very good poker players.

I am not going to speculate to who is the better player because quite frankly it really does not matter to me right now. Should I ever reach a point where I am on their level or around there then it may be worth speculating for game selection at that point.

ignoring the political stuff etc as dont want to get into politics focusing on the graph I have had quite the Journey I used to be very arrogant and not realise just how much I did not know. There was a time I believed I could beat anyone. Then with time I learned how much I did not know battles where I got owned and really did not want to admit I got owned. then went and did a load of calculations and owned the people that owned me, taught me how much I do not know.

I started very much towards the left of this graph. then I hit the very bottom of this graph and decided sure I can grind out a small income but I will never be on the level of the greats. But then as I learn more and more I realise these greats are not psychic gods from another species, They are human just like me. Their play is built upon Lots of math and complicated strategy calculations, and hence eventually could I not reach the same level with the work load put in?

I don't agree that dnegs is old school. He has always been willing to learn and adapt his game just as he has done for the heads up match. Doyle is never going to play online poker or study a solver. I don't think it's a fair comparison.

Negreanu builds a cheerful atmosphere at the table, he can read people like open books - a friendly person. Dwan played very spectacularly - his overbets were in a polarized range - he embarrassed many opponents with these moves - it's great to watch his game.

Take nothing away from either of them but I choose Tom . I like his style

I believe that Daniel has had his say in poker and his time has passed. Tom Dwan is creative and unpredictable, although he plays the card very often. I would bet on Dwan anyway.

Daniel is amazing player , he has made some things in poker that nobody else will achieve for a long long time. In addition he has great sense of humor and he is talking a lot , proving how comfortable he feels while he is playing. However Tom is a very good player
