Cash and tournaments are very different things. Tournaments have fewer deep stacks and less play with the same opponents. In cash, there are usually much deeper stacks and more information on opponents, therefore there are more opportunities.

If i have some time to kill which happens a lot now that i'm retired i play the MTT because they last for three hours or more and i if get lucky i can make some money.

Lately only cash games. It is easy money and very fast. In tournaments you have to work for hours and only mistake and can get you out!

I prefer MTTs because the constantly changing tournament conditions provide additional situations for the general public to be incorrect.

Cash games are too static or constant, which is both boring and not as opportunistic for me.

I'm more prone to the cash games myself. I can play in tournaments and do quite well, but then ADD takes over and I get bored. The tournaments are just too long for my attention span. I can play cash games and get out when my attention span starts to drift.
