Hello, how are you? Surely all of us in our initial stages have not encountered the same doubt. Tournaments or cash? Without a doubt this seems to be the great question of many. It is clear that both have their pros and cons. But I personally love MTTs. More than anything because I think (I could be wrong) that he made to present so many different scenarios such as tournament stages, learning to play short stack, ICM, etc, etc. They make players improve much more in the long run than with cash. Anyway, I clarify that this is a personal look of a player who is just starting out. I know that there are very good players in cahs who went to tournaments and vice versa. So I would like to know what modality they play and why. Greetings from Argentina:D:)

Both. But cash is more devastating for the bankroll, if you can't hold your temper. I can't but still go for it.

Depends on what your style is. I prefer to play tournaments because I like the sense of accomplishment of winning a tournament or going deep whereas some people like to prefer more consistency and you can get that with cash games even with the downsings you have with both. I like how you have different stack sizes too and you see different faces.

I also prefer tournaments. I think tournaments are a better option for a beginner than cash games. But the best option for a beginner is without a doubt freerolls.

I never play on cash games since my beginnings. I have always trained and practiced playing on MTTs. this is where I enjoy playing poker the most and where I feel most comfortable playing poker.

I only know what they say, one or the other, never both, that's what they say. I really like tournaments.

I seem to play better in tournaments. I tend to tilt in cash games after a cooler/bad beat and that can be costly..:D

This is the question, the answer for that everyone has to find himself.
It's pretty clear: play them all for quite of some time and then decide for yourself, what format do you like most and then profile yourself in it and master. Don't scatter, it won't work.

You'll be profitable in anything, if you input time, study and grind it as mad. But to stay motivated enough for doing that you gotta love it!

It's basically, as with everything in life.
