I used to watch it quite a bit but not so much lately. It doesn't seem to be on as much now either. I got a bit bored of it for some reason. I would vote yes for showing the wsop main event on mainstream TV. I would probably watch that but maybe not much else.

Yes. Although, I might use the term "network" tv as opposed to "mainstream" but that's just semantics.
Does NBC still have Poker After Dark?

Welp.... there used to be several very mainstream poker shows shown weekly on tv and online, and yes people watched it for hours because it was awesome to see great players playing poker, black friday slowly killed a lot of poker in many ways... now the wsop is shown on pokergo so you have to subscribe!

Why not? As it is a game for over 18s, I don't know how it works in your country in relation to open TV, but it should, obeying the schedules for indicative classification.

I believe that poker tournaments can be shown on regular television, but after 10 pm and with age restrictions.

Hi :)
I think that there are enough tournaments broadcasts on YouTube. For those who want to find a broadcast of an event of interest to them, this is not a problem.
Good luck.

no, of course, it is absurd to agitate card gambling among young people and children. At one time, a local website invited all sorts of famous people, they played poker and it was broadcast on regular TV, but the state quickly covered up this expensive advertising

I think that with the advent of the Internet and computers, fewer people watch TV. So there's no point in showing poker on TV. Enough online.

I don't think it's necessary to have poker on TV, if you think TV is the least watched by young people today, I imagine it's them you want to attract right? , they are more interested in streaming platforms, and they already have live poker there, on Twitch, YouTube or whatever you want.

I would rather watch poker than golf and there are channels dedicated to golf.

It's totally ok not to promote games where money is involved in free tv.
There are some pay TV Channels like ESPN who Broadcast poker but really unnecessary, we live in the age of streaming

Since it's not something that's in fashion, maybe that's why they don't show it on open TV, but I wish there was someone who would take risks and put together enough content to make a Poker channel, I would always watch it 😁
