Hi everyone,

I was watching poker night in america on YT recently, just wanted to know if u know about other good shows, and of course your general opinion on Tv Poker?

I used to really enjoy the national heads up championship and Poker After Dark (both on YouTube).

If you have Sky they often have re-runs of final tables from old EPT/ WPT events which are normally pretty fun.

If you want some good live poker I'd suggest watching spraggy or tonkkka on the Twitch App.

I have heard of both, but they are a bit old... Generally, tv poker is good for me in ways of learning about live poker (tells, moves, bet sizes...), that is the reason I am looking for newer shows and was wondering if someone knows any?

Also, regarding streamers, they take too much time making fun of ppl playing, joking around, kinda makes me hard to focus on the game.. Not being able to see cards is not helping either

There was such a cool TV Channel as "Poker Italia 24" all about poker and only poker. But today it do not exist, and it is so bad.

Yes. You can purchase on a monthly or annual basis. If you go to pokercentral dot com you can learn more about it. They have brought back Poker After Dark and have other live events--including many of the wsop events. The nice thing is that they have an on demand option, too, if the live events do not fit your schedule. Be sure to look for a coupon code if you do decide to sign up.

In my honest opinion poker isn't a spectator sport, it's like watching paint dry if you aren't involved in the game for me.

Then again, I've always been a terrible spectator, guess it's just how I am. I guess I'm a natural mortal rather than a god in that I'd hate to just sit back and watch others fight while I win either way in the long run, I am born to compete I need that rush.

I will say that long sessions without any big hands or interesting moments, which is typical in every day poker, is not too fun to watch, especially, absent of interesting personalities. For example, I started watching Day 1 of Poker After Dark on demand this week and nearly two hours into it, I couldn't recommend it. Table talk conversations regarding robotics, politics, and the like, just don't do it for me. I think there is a reason why some of the more popular players are popular--they're interesting characters. It might not be fair, but this is life. Some of us are just a little more interesting and/or fun to be around than others. (BTW--I freely admit I would imagine that I would fall into the category of the 'others' -- not that interesting to watch or be around, so nothing personal, here.

)

I think it depends on the table really, its always nice to watch some poker but those playing in it can make it a lot more interesting/entertaining for viewers, you could on the other hand have a bunch of quiet tight players and that would become a snooze fest fast
