Hi guys, this is my first post on here, I'm 16 years of age, and I've played card games since I was around 5. When I turned 12 I began playing poker with play money on a few websites, after winning multiple tournaments and accumulating millions of play money without having to invest real money. I'm wanting to move onto bigger things, I know you can never stop learning how to play poker, but I believe I have the potential to make it big. I have paypal and debit cards to be able to make deposits however I want to know the risks, and outcomes of playing underage poker, is it worth it? should I just stick to play money? I don't know what to do... I know I could easily win at low stake tables, its just that, would I be able to cashout my winnings?

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I'm hoping somebody can help.

Stick to play money till you turn the legal age. If a site finds out you're playing under age they could ban you for life!

P.S you'll also lose all funds on trying to withdraw.

Thanks for the advice I will take it into consideration, say if I play on pokerstars and get banned could that also be from real life tournaments as well?

Too early age for poker, believe there is no easy money and you will not earn them ...

Now plenty of other games, such as MMORPG :),. basically the same spending time like poker , but there you will be legally is situated...

Couldn't have put it better myself Kenzie.
I would have cut the 16 year old kid a little slack though since he did ask for advice. It isn't his fault that he got bad advice from an adult that should know better. Hopefully he will do the right thing and wait until he is legal age.

i would just wait till your of age to play legally, as you said, you can never stop learning so you should use the next 2 years to play millions and millions of hands. If your in the US, your money is safe, but not all that safe, whil i do know that sites pay out, its not regulated by the us government, therefore one might not actually consider it safe, plus there is no reason to play poker illegally, i think you should stick with it for the next few years until your 18 and can do what ever you want, suppose you do make millions on the us sites somehow... do you really want to be dealing with that much money not using your credentials, and not knowing 100% if its secure or not?

Deleted my post & yeah, my response wasn't directed at the OOP. :)

You're 16. It's ILLEGAL for you to play for real money. Go out and socialize with friends, get your school work done, and do your chores. You have no business playing for real money.
