Cardschat Presents: An Hour with Vanessa Selbst

On Jan 19th at 12pm noon ET Vanessa will be in Cardschat answering questions from our members for 1 hour.

I closed that thread to keep it clean and free of questions until we start taking questions on Jan 12th. We will unlock it on that day.

It is a great opportunity for us to spend time with one of the best female poker players in the world. (if not the best!)

Nice, I look forward to hearing what she has to say and offer. I believe she is the best current female tournament player. I like to heard the best tip she can offer when deep in a tournament.

Wow that's awesome. She probably is one of the best if not the best female poker players in the world. I've watched her play for hours and she is fearless on the felt. Can't wait for the interview.

GJ guys on getting without a doubt the greatest female tournament player of all times...and a helluva cash pro in her day as well.

Uh, doesnt she also have a PLO bracelet to boot/?

Just a sicko, and someone who has been able to bridge the early and late/post boom periods with amazing success in both...which is a rarity.

Truly a world class poker player.

Agree 100%! I got to meet her this past summer and she was very friendly and personable. I was lucky enough to sit next to her at dinner and listen to her talk about poker.

Question: or better, hmmm how do I ask this? How do you balance tourny play and cash game play? Well, I dont really know how to ask this, lets see if I can make sense....

I played mainly MTTs for a while, then switched to only cash - 6 max - and now dabble in both. How can you play multiple formats and keep up with them all, how do you prepare yourself to switch between game types? And how do you keep up with the changing nuances of the poker game as a whole?

I dont really know how to ask this, I hope I am making sense....
