What age did you start playing poker?

I learned about Poker from my parents in this life. As it is, I have played Poker in previous incarnations. Here I started playing poker after a friend showed me Poker Stars. I personally was fond of Full tilt poker, I liked It. This was at the age of 28. Approximately.

I would say I learn poker from my father, he had always poker games , on Fridays and Saturdays with relatives. But I didnt learn Texas hold'em until 15, watching my brother play that. Ever since I have liked holdem over other card games.

I started playing when I was 17. It was with friends and we used change as our chips. We started with Texas holdem and soon learned other games like 5-card draw, stud, Omaha, and pineapple playing dealers choice. I miss those home games. It seemed like a $50 or $100 buy-in was such a huge amount at the time but everyone was a good sport if they lost and it was always fun.

I started around 14 or 15, then when Black Friday took place I quit playing/watching poker. Recently read The Biggest bluff (I'm 30 now) and it peaked my interest again so I'm back to studying and plan on playing uNL MTTs.

I knew poker (5 cards stud) since I was a kid. But we didn't play it a lot, without money it was boring, we preffered other games including bridge. I started to play more seriously at age of 28.

I started playing poker about 10 years ago .... and from that comment I loved poker .... the first 5 years I played on the weekends as a hobby .... then I started playing at night after from work .... and a couple of years ago and I started studying and watching videos with the intention of improving my game ... and taking it more seriously ...!

I started playing online in my last semester of high school. When I moved away for college and didn't know anyone in the new city was when I tried my 1st live tournament. Came across a flyer about free holdem poker that was played weekly at a restaurant/bar. Only restriction was that you had to order something to either eat or drink to be able to play. This is where I actually learned more, since we had to deal with the cards and chips ourselves, picked up some chip tricks and learned I'm still excellent at reading people. I ate out once a week all through college haha.
