It is more important to know truly know yourself than to know the game. An hour of your C game can wipe away a day of A game play. Only play cash games when you are ready to focus and play your best.

Discipline. Apply your game, as it evolves, around discipline.
Heard on this forum in many different ways in many different threads.

Great thread..
Best advice I had
Anything your uncomfortable with get comfortable with it - in other words example..
If your not comfortable playing lag play lag till your sick play til you become a good lag. Or if your not good at respondong to 3-BETS you keep working at that until you are able to find their range and fold/4-bet with great accuracy

Don't let a bad beat get the best of you.... especially if you still have a decent amount of chips in play and are able to come back from it.

Emotions can affect the way you play in a great way and they can also determine whether you will come out on top or just count the seconds until you bust out.

I have been caught up in many many hands where I thought I had the best hand without a doubt only to be outplayed or beaten out by a stronger hand.... and when that happens I just remind myself to keep my composure.

There are times where I thought I was down and out, but I just kept a cool-head and played some damn good poker and found myself in the money many of times.

- Personal experience.

"Excluding myself from Pokerstars was the best thing I ever did. You should do the same" - a good friend.

And for those who think I am joking; I am not. This was a very serious pieve of advice.

the best advice since I started playing poker, and a couple of years ago, I heard him say to the Spanish Juan Manuel Pastor, who said if you want to be a good poker player "patience"

Just to clarify... this is only applies opening the betting. Even pre-flop, there is nothing wrong with calling a raiser.

"You're not as good as you think you are."

Applies to just about every situation and an incentive to get better.

Choose a game sucha as: STT, MTT or cash game. Play and study about it instead of to play a lot of game type.
