Professional poker players make their living by playing poker, play a lot, and possibly go to big tournaments. Unlike professionals, amateurs do not spend much time playing, and this is more like spending time, enjoying the game process.

Very large, amateurs play mostly on the map, and professionals have a computer in their head

They are looking to maximize their profits and minimize their losses. My guess is that the amount of thinking is completely different.

 There is a lot of difference, the professional player, plays levels, and usually always high, obtains very good profits, either for his career as a professional, or for his commercial career, for being a famous person, in the world of poker. ..

Hello everyone! Since I started playing poker online, I have liked to see the highest levels where most regular professionals play. Some of them have shared their strategy and way of seeing the game, but my question is if it is useful to see the game from the highest levels for which we play the lowest levels? What significant differences do you find between professionals and those who are just beginning? Thank you!!
Other players playing poker superficial while a proffesional player never make it.

a professional is always in a grind and thus has a run or has played warmly, has very clear advantages, math calculations and much more ... he is definitely an advantage over a recreational player

Higher volume, way more time spent on studying, and studying in a structured way / with coaches. bankroll management is another key ofc.

The professional player makes contingent money from it, while the recreational player does not.

I think the main difference is that professionals value the money they put in, while on the other hand you often see recreational players all in with some stupid cards.

Watching someone play poker w/a buy-in that could easily purchase a new house or Bentley is an awesome thing, imo. I also realize that this is a person who looks at $ a little different than me; or prolly a lot different. Most of the pros I've seen didn't start at the very bottom limits. They were, most likely, affluent kids who were seasoned for higher limits. But the cards don't know that... :thefinger

They are not lucky..I think it's all about them having more practice and playing more than most. The more you practice the better you get kinda thing. I play for fun and wish I could make more time to play. Good luck to all.

Profesionales

Professionals don't give excuses.. they don't blame the cards, don't blame the donkey players, don't blame the websites and so on...
They simply know that that's how it is and play to play well.
While those who are not professional like a lot to think that luck is never with them and always with someone else
Oh yes, almost forgot... Bankroll management is for me the MOST important thing that you gotta learn even before playing micro

There is a big difference, the professionals make plays with a card evaluation and game evolution they do not play to play, they make bets according to their cards and not according to their bankrol, they prepare and study to be great

I think they have pretty much the same skills as an advanced player who plays for hobbie. However, the professional lives off his earnings and because of that he needs to have professional risk management.

Professionals play on different sides and have different lines of play and they are ready to adapt to the game under the opponent

the good decisions that they make, they fold hands that most do not, they analyze everything in depth, and also they are very used to the whole environment and that is very important:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

Those who have a lot of money become professionals, they play in major tournaments, who do not have them, they will never become professionals, I think many professionals play at home, with their families and no one knows about them, these people play at small stakes.

They have abilities that normies just don't have. Same as other professionals, athletes or CEO level business. Whether its focus, or work ethic or what have you, the ability to push through something is what seperates high levels from normal levels.

I believe that successful pros understand the math and probabilities very well. EV, etc. etc. And they also are very adept at spotting tendencies and understanding people, personalities and psychology (Tony G w/ Helmuth for example).

Basically the way they look at poker, the name says, professionals face it professionally, study, train, read all the time, on the other hand amateur players just know how to play without getting too deep in relation to studies and training.
