I'm not disagreeing with you at all Ronaldadio, but do they offer NL Razz? I have never seen it, even at a Casino, it was all Limit.

I usually like playing RAZZ a lot.
I think that as some one mentioned, it's no more luck than 7 card stud.

I play it when I need a break from Hold'em. When I feel the need to see some good cards, I always hit quads and straight flushes in RAZZ

Seriously though, it does suck when you start 432A and end up losing to some one who starts by showing KK.

Depends on what you consider to be a good starting hand. Some people play 9's pretty hard, which boggles my mind. But often Razz is very situational. There are times when you can have a 10x draw and know you are good and other times where you have a solid 8652 draw and someone refuses to fold their K74A.

Just like any game of poker if you watch the betting patterns you can pick up when people are weak or strong and play accordingly. If someone is going hard then slows down, they've usually paired one of their hole cards. Very rarely do you see people slow play in Razz unless they are donks or don't realize what they have.

well actually razz can be a very fun game....the point of this is to get the lowest hand possible A counts as low. you get dealt 7 cards in here and you use 5 cards. everyone gets 3 cards, two of yr cards are hidden and one is showing to everyone. after that u can either enter the pot or fold. lets say for example you get dealt 6 4 2 A, that is a very good drawing hand so lets say you get 3 or 5 then you will most likely win unless the other player has 5 4 3 2 A....also you do not want pairs or a flush in razz. you should try this once just for fun and I'm sure you will figure it out. When i first started i sucked at it now i make top 100 out of 2400 players easily.

Well then what would you define as "real" poker? A game where you can bluff? Razz counts.

A game where you can outplay your opponent? Razz counts.

A game with ups and downs? Razz counts.

Flushes don't count and while pairing isn't great, it doesn't necessarily kill your hand. Like in other forms of real poker -- it depends on the situation.

Hand selection is the crucial factor in Razz, as in all poker games, i will tend to call a lot for the 4th card though because i find you can't make a judgement of the hand until 4 cards are dealt. After that you should have a pretty good idea where your hand is headed.

Like in all limit games, the key also is to minimize making unecessary and bad calls and bets, and especially knowing when to fold!!

Well... With my bad luck, AND my skill I make a decent Razz player... I've only played online in frequent freerolls, but I don't put my own money on Razz... I'll keep that for Roll'n kids in Hold 'em... I'm out

This IMO is the key to fun and profitible razz.

If you carefully watch the dead cards you have a distinct advantage.

Razz is a fantastic game. The slide anology was perfect.

Most people get in trouble not so much from getting sucked out on a late street but from entering too many pots.

If you have any half decent poker skills RAZZ is a fun game.

i like razz for the reason its a limit game. The freerolls are silly. I dont understand why someone would play a game and get mad. These freerolls are ment for players to learn new games. thay are donks for the reason that thay are learning.
