Checking the river with best hand and missing a bet opportunity. All those missed bets add up.

Hmm. This is an interesting thread question. I might be overthinking it, but this question feels like it asks more than just "what is the weakness in your poker game?" because it asks more about "player completeness" and this sounds almost self-actualizing. I feel like I'm constantly learning so much. I won't really see myself as "weaknesses" per se, but then I'll learn something new and realize that x or y I could have done this differently or gotten more value etc. I'm always trying to improve my poker game :D

To address this question: I suspect my lack of experience is one thing that stands in the way to me being a more "complete" poker player. I'm grateful to have had the amazing poker success I've had so far, but I'm humble enough to realize how good others are. I see so many players on CardsChat being League Captains, or 10-year members, or other impressive credentials.

By no means am I putting myself down in any way (I think I can compete decently for now, but might be able to more than hold my own in the future), but I've got enough common sense to put ego aside and see that these players have years of playing experience that I do not yet have.

Yes, I need more time playing poker :D

Combining theory and practice as well as analyzing your game// always draw conclusions at the end of the game where we made a mistake // with the developed Internet, learning to play is not a problem, I just need patience and free time /// force myself to read books and watch streamers analysis session/ //raise your skill//

Studying. It goes for essentially all players. Savants are few and the rest of us need to study to advance.

Interesting side effect of it is that for those that say they lack patience and calm, you get that with studying. Knowing your spots helps quite a bit.

My poker is recreational so I do not really go down much into studying but for those wanting to give a poker a serious try its a must.

I personally think that wisdom and patience are needed because after losing, when I analyze, I understand that if I were more patient or wise, I would take a better place, for example, in a tournament

A $500k bankroll I feel would complete me.....LOL

Seriously though, half the time I am doing dishes, laundry, checking emails, eating, etc..... I don't commit to full concentration.

Knowing playing position at all times and being very selective with starting hands to call before the flop. That is the most important to me.

Study more the game, tactics, not only playing and playing, making the same mistakes and be thinking is just bad luck, some times bad situations can be avoided, so I believe that study is a nice option here, too bad i`m a bit lazy considering that you have a full time job and poker is a hobby, but i love to listen to poker podcasts while driving...

Constantly learning - charts, ranges, psychology. Only by constantly learning can you become a more competent player.

I personally lack concentration. Everything bothers me sometimes! But I'm trying and the level of the game is growing! There is always something to strive for.

Consistent attention and less tiltability. I was doing pretty well recently, making it to 5th and 17th in 1$/4$ buy-in MTTs on Stars, which I suppose isn't bad for a newbie. Then I wanted to play a freeroll satellite for fun, checked out what tourney it was a satellite to and start the frenzy right away. I get busted out of the freeroll sat and guess what, most of my bankroll is gone. Because I didn't register to the satellite. I registered to the proper tournament by accident. Didn't take long for the ~15 bucks I had left to vanish because I got angry at myself and started playing the stupid Kickoff variant like a maniac, hoping to make a comeback in a delusional gambling spree. Won't happen again tho, I found the buy-in limit responsible gaming feature by now.
