I don't think anyone prefers a minor pair when we can have a premium hand. Then it is up to each player to know how to get the most value out of it, and to see how the game develops in that hand. But I always prefer to have the best hand preflop before playing, without a doubt.

Depends on the situation. For sure AA is the best starting hand, but it deals not so often, so even JJ or 22 will be enough to win the hand in some pot, or to have some good value, if you will hit the flop for example or all people will check the flop and you get something on next streets.

nimburkx (UTG): 3,467 (116 bb)
skaniol (UTG+1): 2,925 (98 bb)
CésarGómez (MP): 3,300 (110 bb)
Chereshn9 (MP+1): 3,788 (126 bb)
advoghado (LP): 2,795 (93 bb)
ricsi1987 (CO): 3,455 (115 bb)
billibooo (BU): 2,185 (73 bb)
balo11 (SB): 2,165 (72 bb)
mtl mile end (BB): 2,910 (97 bb)

Pre-Flop: (45) Hero (skaniol) is UTG+1 with A A
1 fold, skaniol (UTG+1) raises to 90, CésarGómez (MP) calls 90, 1 fold, advoghado (LP) 3-bets to 180, 2 players fold, balo11 (SB) calls 165, 1 fold, skaniol (UTG+1) 4-bets to 390, CésarGómez (MP) 5-bets to 3,300 (all-in), advoghado (LP) calls 2,615 (all-in), balo11 (SB) calls 1,985 (all-in), skaniol (UTG+1) calls 2,535 (all-in)

Flop: (10,840) 8 5 J (4 players, 4 all-in)

Turn: (10,840) 5 (4 players, 4 all-in)

River: (10,840) 2 (4 players, 4 all-in)

Total pot: 10,840

Showdown:
CésarGómez (MP) shows J J (a full house, Jacks full of Fives)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 20%, Flop: 69%, Turn: 98%, River: 100%)

skaniol (UTG+1) shows A A (two pair, Aces and Fives)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 59%, Flop: 4%, Turn: 3%, River: 0%)

advoghado (LP) shows K A (a pair of Fives)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 5%, Flop: 27%, Turn: 0%, River: 0%)

balo11 (SB) shows 2 2 (a full house, Twos full of Fives)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 16%, Flop: <1%, Turn: 0%, River: 0%)

CésarGómez (MP) wins 10,840

Against several players, AA often faces other Ace holders (like AK here), so it's hard to improve post-flop [Prob(set) = 0-10%], unlike the lower pairs, which have so many outs (I can't count that high).

I guess this has no doubt AA always best... But if the question is about superstition, I believe I like Q a lot, the ladies always hit!

I prefer AA, because I like them the most. It is hard to explain why, but I think pocket aces are a very good hand. :D

I don't care from 22 to AA,the main thing is that the set on the flop lies))))

I prefer the hand I have at the right position the right time! If this does not happen, then the things are uncertain.

Good question. The hand I love to get is a small pair, say 22 or 33 in LP and can get in cheap. I am sure you know the rest.

Cheers!

It depends on the situation, it's not always good to have top pairs or very strong hands, because depending on your position at the table, not everyone will call your raise.

I think most will want AA, but in particular I prefer suited like AK, where it gives me a flush or straight shot. I feel more comfortable with these hands than with pairs, although AA doesn't make me as comfortable. warm up a good hand or with the opportunity to straight ..

If every player knew which hand would win, it wouldn't be poker.
Therefore, I ask the question, which hand from the ones offered by me would you choose and why.

Aces!

1sunchin said:
Try to think about what maximize your profit - pocket AA or 22 if you get set on flop. Or this situation - you have AA, see low flop and contbet, but villain calls flop and turn and go allin on river - can you fold your aces if on board not anotherone ace?

If that scenario happens and u are getting check called during flop and turn , going allin on river seems a bit fishy,

preflop AA is just a dream but if river comes and you just have pair of aces You should consider the board
what you are beating with your Aces?
your hand might be just a bluffcatcher atm.

Well ... aside from AA, KK, QQ ... I really like to play with JTs ... it allows you to have the possibility to make straight down and up ... as well as form the flush ... in short, without a doubt one of my favorite hands ...!

Despite the pain of getting them cracked, of course I like seeing AA! Anyone that prefers one of the others see the glass half empty too often and remembers the few times they lose and not the numerous times they win!
