I swear as bad as them bad beats are I have a heavy dose of selective memory loss.

I remember the straight flush that I would have had recently had I played a pair of low suited gappers from UTG.

I've had so many bad beats that my brain has stopped cataloguing them.

Once in germany i was playing in a casino. I got JJ and the opens jack and 6 6. I had full house, and then 6 persons came all in i won around 1000$ in one hand. I will never forget it

Always the losing hand that sticks with me. Hitting a straight and the river gives the villain a bigger straight. Cost me 1,500 from first to second. Second hand is about the same, HU and I flop broadway to see a river pair the board. I'm stringing them along and with bigger stack, this will end it. They turn a boat with the paired board. We play HU with them with a bigger stack. This one hurt worse because we were both first and second in the league and a unfavorable adversary. Did finish first in the league but took second in that tournament.

Could probably name many more memorable hands, but none are the winning ones. Looking back that seems strange. Winning is expected and we move on but losing requires more emotion and mind energy to except.

Omaha hand. I flopped the nut flush and guy called me with just a pair of Kings. He turned a set of kings and the river paired the board. Last thing my opponent said was “EZ”

Once upon a time, there was an unforgettable game at the cash table. I had AQ and I had Utg. I raised a triple. The one sitting next to me was just eating and therefore just calling. Then I had two more calls. The one sitting next to me was Q, Q. The two call cards were 5.5 and 9.9. The flop came Q, 9, 5. Then hell broke loose. Luckily I didn't put everything.

I remember 2 hands in Tournament in the first one was in bubble. Me with AA and my opponent with Q Heart and 10 spades PREFLOP A, 10, 8 (I WAS HAPPY) but A and 8 were from hearts Turn and River leave 6 and 9 heart I lost with Color ...

There are no better or worse poker hands for me. I am interested in the game itself and the possibility of winning with the hand with which you entered the distribution, or at least not losing much with the bad hand that is in the distribution at the moment. You need to try to analyze the hand during the game and understand you from above or below. And the more accurate the analysis, the more experienced and professional you are.

I had a hand of 72 suited. 5 allins entered the game, and on the board I found a Four of a kind out of 7. As a result, I knocked out all 5 people and took all their chips.

Thinking about what I remember from playing back in the day... the hands that stuck with me are the disappointing coolers and bad beats on big final tables (JJ against QQ on QJ3 flop for instance), but also the times I won money on bad beat jackpots playing live (flopping a royal and beating quad aces when the river paired aces and 4 tens versus 4 aces another time). The disappointment and happy reactions sear them into your memory.

The rest of the millons of hands seem to blur together but that happens when you trust you are playing well and don't focus on short term swings.

Honestly, I can't remember the hand......but I remember losing my car insurance money because I lost that hand! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!

It was years ago...….it all worked out okay but yeah.....That's one hand I'll never forget!

Selective memory loss is probably a good thing as it keeps you coming back!

I've only been playing poker for six months or so. I remember one hand in particular.

It was in an MTT that had lasted about 8 hours!

I had fought my way through a huge field to sneak into the final table in 9th place. It was my very first final table and everything was a novelty - I still remember the feeling when the felt changed colour to purple and we were asked to choose seats

I decided to be aggressive because there was such a big disparity in prizes. I managed to ladder up and busted a few players:

I made it to the final 5 and the plan was to get to the final 2 and try to win or make a deal:

Despite having the second largest stack I somehow managed to bust in 5th:

The penultimate hand was the one I remember. I was all-in by the turn with KJ off-suit against an opponent who made a straight. A third guy in the pot also held KJ but folded on the turn (he showed his hand)...

I remember it because of the context. I momentarily forgot that I had navigated a field of over 1900 and was 2nd. I forgot about the deal option. I forgot to wait for a better hand. I forgot about position, ICM and stack sizes at the table. It all started because I decided to target someone with a re-raise then it just escalated.

Granted it wasn't a lot of money, but the difference between 5th and 1st/2nd was huge to my bankroll at the time. The entry cost was $1 and I had made 5 rebuys yet somehow made it to the final table after 8 tough hours. Played some huge pots along the way and it was my first experience of being "in the zone".

The knock-on effect of that one hand was enormous because I had regret tilt for weeks and basically punted off my bankroll on other tournaments and cash games
