I was all-in by the turn with KJ off-suit against an opponent who made a straight. A third guy in the pot also held KJ but folded on the turn (he showed his hand)...[/SIZE] [SIZE=2]I remember it because of the context. I momentarily forgot that I had navigated a field of over 1900 and was 2nd. I forgot about the deal option. I forgot to wait for a better hand. I forgot about position, ICM and stack sizes at the table. It all started because I decided to target someone with a re-raise then it just escalated. [/SIZE] [SIZE=2]Granted it wasn't a lot of money, but the difference between 5th and 1st/2nd was huge to my bankroll at the time. The entry cost was $1 and I had made 5 rebuys yet somehow made it to the final table after 8 tough hours. Played some huge pots along the way and it was my first experience of being "in the zone".[/SIZE] [SIZE=2]The knock-on effect of that one hand was enormous because I had regret tilt for weeks and basically punted off my bankroll on other tournaments and cash games :([/SIZE] [SIZE=2]Sorry for the long post.
