this is starting to sound like level2 poker thinking... or perhaps... people who are thinking that I'm thinking that I have a problem with people who are thinking that I'm thinking I have a problem with people who dislike country music. (yah... I've been playing too long of sessions lately).

what tilts me... mouthy donks in chat, especially the ones who are 'minraising' while on SB to a couple/few limpers. wtf is with that?
Stealing... :D
Jacks over running my better pair, not winning with jacks...:joyman:

:)Can i just say that if you feel like your tilting you should try and play small ball poker.. this works for MTT and ring game strategy settings. some times it helps to fold a few hands and take a deep breathe before starting agan.

Don't feel bad about your past history of tilting. i myself worked my bankroll up to 123 bucks from nothing and lost it all in a night because i got 2 outered on a river for 1/3 of my remaining money at the time.

I think that if you can detect when you feel like your starting to play hands badly it helps to take a step back.. even for just 5 minutes to calm your mind. this is what i have found useful

hope that helps

Bad beats happen, hell I've caught some miracle rivers and flops. But, showing down and having someone hit runner runner is something that I'll never live down.

Honestly...

Honestly... I can keep my cool pretty well with bad beats... even if I get bad beat after bad beat all day long....

What really makes me go on tilt is when I a) drink alcohol and b) I am bi-polar and when my Seroquel wears off then I start to make irrational decisions... I become one of those ace rag players that goes all in (lol).

So it's kinda funny when you think about it in a way... I can be in bad beat city and not tilt just as long as I am sober and on my meds...

Bet Ya Haven't Heard That Before,
Moe:cool:

Tilting

I usually go on "tilt" when I try to get back the chips I had before I made that one mistake after a near-perfect play...I get caught up in that "just have to see your hand" mentality, which costs me dearly, and from then on I start trying to get those chips back with hands I have no business being in....something snaps and I start chasing.....:( :( :(

tilted

nobby1510 and StormRaven hit on the main reasons for going on tilt in my case.If I am tired or distracted I get very short on patience and end up playing tilted or donked, and just throw in.
When I am really feeling good and really into the game, nothing will tilt me.An example is,a few weeks back I was playing at UB.It came down to the last 25 players in a 100 or more player game.I was on the bubble at 27th place.I was really into the game, and I stayed on the bubble all the way down until, and finished 7th place or so.Meaning I didnt hit a big one that got me off the bubble awhile...I was in the very last position from 27th place until 7th,when I finally lost.Let me tell you, that was a trip.I still run into some who was playing with me and were astounded I hung on that long....what a trip!!!.....lesson,dont give up even when its lookin bad!

mmm, What makes me tilt... Usually some punk calling a big pre-flop raise with 59o to "protect his blinds" to my Pocket KK and the flop drops 559..

That makes me tilt!

Taking a few bad beats and getting knocked out of a tourney or sng short of the money puts me on tilt sometimes. I am getting better at handling it lately. When it happens I stop playing poker for a few hours or just start again the next day. This always solves the tilt problem for me.

What makes me tilt?
When someone else uses your computer without asking and then when you get on there again a bunch of settings are changed... and then it slows down & crashes!!! ARGH %$%%$%$%%$%%$!!!!!!!!
I'm over at the public library right now using their computer because mine is now in the shop & is hooped.
Giving them another 30mins. to fix it... if not it's up to Walmart to buy another one (I'll hide this one though, lol).

What gets me on Tilt:

-one card straights
-one card flushes
-disconnection problems

Everything else rolls of my shoulders during a tournament or ring game.

my turn

what makes me tilt is when i feel like im not getting my fair share of awesome hands and everyone else is flopping everything and they think their great and better than me for beating me on a hand.....well thats what i think their thinking, so i start screaming at the site until i get tired so i leave and take a nap.

plenty of things..

you know that jerk across the table who is always taking your chips? when he bad beats you... that one is awful.. you're already not so friendly with the fellow who has your money.. now he bad beats you?? YIKES!

I guess that is the main tilter.. there isnt much else you could tilt over..

Does getting bad hands over and over... but they win with the board; however you folded those hands..
So then you get mad and you start playing all of those crappy hands..
That count as tilting?

I don't know what made me tilt but I hate to have it. I meant like when you played it all right and then you got your ass beat on the river, that just piss me off.
