Welcome to Cardschat...and what a great thread... but such a shame that such a thread is needed in today's world.  Of course poker is for women, but as with many institutions it has a history of being male dominated (whether rightly or wrongly).  There are some very good women poker payers out there and more appearing as time goes on.  There is no reason on earth why women should not play poker at whatever level they choose, just as men choose to play at whatever level suits them.  Some would say a womans mind is more suited to poker than men (thats probably from people who have experienced the sharp brain and awareness that women display).  I am sure many men would love to be as good as the likes of Kara, Liv, Vanessa, JuiceeQ, Dakota-xx etc but simply aren't...but could be....so why cant women be as good as anyone else.  I am sure it will only be a matter of time before the numbers start matching each other and poker becomes a truly multi sex game.

Keep believing and keep improving your game and ignore the mysogynists who simply undermine themselves by making such stupid statements.
