Not easy to compare poker to any ONE SINGLE game. Besides skill, poker has so many intertwined elements that determine the outcome of any session. From some math to psychology, to perseverance, to patience, to variance, to, to, ... all the way to luck, you name it. These factors exist and can play an important role in other games or activities too, but not all of them combined as they do in poker, which makes it very hard for me to make the comparison in question.

To me poker is like chess as you need skills in similar areas to be successful: a good plan(calculation of moves in advance/ predicting what your opponent will do), logic, psychology... still, in poker we have the gambling side and the random element(luck), but poker is also more of a social game and can be an entertaining activity which IMO makes poker a unique game

Many things, but I would choose life itself, as poker games, tournaments and succsess comes in moments. In poker you have to be patient, never give up and when you play your best and do your best you can hope for your moment and boom there you go!

I cant compare poker to other thing......its uniq game that i have some stress to do the right thing......for me its not sport and if i had to compare to game its maybe chess because you have to think 2 or 3 card later
