What thoughts go through your mind when your chips go in???

Only thing I think about is when does next tourney

If its one of those post flop situation where I'm strong favourite I feel quite comfortable. Of course bad beat thoughts enter my head but I've played enough to know basic odds so I'm calm.

Those preflop allin 50/50s are another matter. My emotions can go through the wringer on before each card is shown. Best not to go allin on them lol

In fact best to play omaha cash, much safer

Are you saying it is wrong to feel any emotion in these situations, that we should be almost robotic in the acceptance of the probabilities. Surely this would make poker very dull treating it purely as a money making exercise

i have had so many bad beats that whenever all my chips are in i feel like i am going to lose, its not always the case. i have probably had just as many suckouts but i just dont remember those as much

I dont think this is a question of wrong or right, but for me yes not much goes through my heads. Maybe its because im playing soo many tables at once but in tourneys or STT I just try to get it in good, after that I have done my job.

Interesting. I get the impression you have been playing for far longer than I have and successfully so maybe after so long you become immune to it. Is your nickname "The Ice Man" by any chance

no trust me I tilt my fair share but it does not seem to happen that often in tourneys for me. Sorry about yesturday I have been a real asshole this week, seriously glad you are part of the forum.

When it gets to the point that all your chips are going in the first feeling is one of anticipation, my first thots are ' i hope my reads are correct'. Then when the cards flip over knowing i got all my chips in when i had the best of it brings me some instant relief. All down to the luck of draw now and some you win some you lose thats the harsh reality of NL texas hold em after all its a deck of cards and ANY card can be the next card out of the deck, even one of the dreaded 2 outs that your opponent might just be needing.. you have to accept it and move on

This is a very valid point.

I know sometimes I multi table ring games - limit holdem, 3 at a time $1/2. I do get hit with bad beats but it is a fact that u r kept so busy u don`t have time to think.

Having said all this, I prefer to concentrate on one table at a time when I`m playing a MTT. I like to focus on certain players, make notes, etc.
