Texas Hold'em is my favorite, but I'm curious what everyone else prefers. Do you mainly play Texas Hold'em, Omaha, or another poker variant? What do you like most about it?
 
Most casinos only offer Texas Hold'em, you would have to go to Vegas for mixed games. Also online GGPoker offers only Omaha, 888Poker only Omaha. I haven't played on other sites recently. I know way back PokerStars was pretty much the only site offering mixed games. I enjoyed playing Razz. I'm playing Omaha or NLH because that's what's being offered on GG and in my local casino.

I like all the free games... but my preference is Texas Hold'em.
 
My favorite is Texas Holden. I play him more. I also play omaha 4/5 cards but at a lower frequency.
 
My fav is Texas hold 'em, but I still enjoy the challenge of Omaha...
 
pot limit omaha 8 or better for MTTs and SNGs . yes , it is hard to find in live ring games .
 
All in or Fold Sngs were the best, you could mass table these very easily and it was just an pure icm test.

For me it’s Texas Hold’em too. I like how much room there is to read the board and adjust to different players.
 
I prefer Texas Hold’em. I’ve only played Texas Hold’em and Omaha, so those are the only two variants I really know.
 
My favorite format is the DoN (Double or Nothing) Sit & Go. Unfortunately, fewer and fewer poker rooms offer them. In my opinion, it’s a great way to build a bankroll consistently. I’ve been playing this format for over a dozen years.
 
Texas Holdem is still my favorite but I'm playing PLO more and more. I haven't played any of the other variants.
 
My favorite poker variant is No-Limit Hold'em. I like the combination of strategy, psychology and decision-making. There is always something to improve, especially when it comes to reading ranges and managing the size of the pot.
 
Pineapple, with the discard after the flop. My favorite way to play is a mixed game, preferably HOPE, ( holdem, omaha, pineapple, stud hi-lo ), all played limit.
 
I do have started to get a liking to normal Omaha ( NOT hi/lo variant mumbo jumbo, that seems to still be black magic for me ). But NLHE is still the king.
 
What Is Your Favorite Poker Variant?

No-Limit Texas Hold'em is my favorite since I've started playing poker, but I've enjoyed playing Pot-Limit Omaha lately and especially cash games live is such an enjoyable experience - definitely a game you should try with your friends as this format has much higher variance than NLHE and this way everyone will win from time to time (of course skilled players will always have the advantage and this is no difference for PLO), at the end of the day we all know that everyone enjoys to win - even if for many people poker is a hobby/game/entertainment...
 
Obviously, most people would probably choose Texas Hold'em as their favorite variant because it's the most popular and seems simpler and easier to understand, which it is for me too. But I also really like variants like Single Draw and Stud. They're not played nearly as much, but they're really entertaining when you get the chance to play them or watch tournaments in those formats.
 
Omaha Hi-Lo (O8), No-Limit Hold’em (NLHE), because it allows you to play more hands and leads to bigger, more exciting decisions.
 
I mostly play NLH because the majority of tournaments are NLH. But PLO is much more fun, you can multiply your initial bankroll very quickly, and you can also lose it all just as quickly..lol
