I would say that there is no bad card but a bad player. And this player is using the card incorrectly.

Similarly, I was thinking that this forum is interesting because the hole cards you hate most are probably the ones the player over-values or doesn't play optimally. If we all played every situation "perfectly" (good poker players know that "perfect" doesn't even really exist because you never know if x-size-bet would have forced a fold the same or if you could have got slightly more value out of the last hand etc.), then the "worst" hands like 7-2 offsuit would be the worst - always. Some players hate pocket Aces? Hate Ace-Queen? Hate low pocket pairs? etc. These are not terrible hands mathematically, so why would any player hate getting them? What these hands all have in common is that they are sometimes tough for beginning/average players to play. Why? Perhaps players over-value them, or perhaps they don't ever know where they are at in the hand against the opponent. Low pocket pairs are infamous for this. Does the opponent have air, or the nuts? Unless you hit a set, you are probably looking at their range polarized compared to you range because the low pair will probably act like a stronger bluff catcher, but not much else if you don't improve by the river.

Oh, of course: I have to quote this post too. I feel your pain with this one. When I am playing fine at a full-ring table, I usually fold these hands without a second thought. The closer I get to tilting, then the more playable this hand looks to me...grrr. What happens to me a lot is something like this:
Losing a lot and on the verge of tilting, I look down at K2o. I think longer than I probably should, but fold. Then the flop comes with 2 Kings. Why? Grr, I feel like I should have played the hand, but I know that mathematically folding was probably correct. Then I watch my opponents get to showdown thinking how many chips I could have won if I was still in the hand. Then at showdown: one of the players reveals a straight or flush or something. Yup, now I think how much I just saved my not playing the hand, but that hand tempted me more than it should have: oh how it mocks and taunts me

Yeah, K2o and similar are up there in my "hate list" if we exclude the worst junk hands.

It's the irrotading feeling when you lose with good hole cards. I was happy to see that other players hate AK too

I even asked Jeff to give some few tips how to manage that hand. Should probably start searching information about that from other places too. Don't remember Brunsons super system telling too much about AK but I might be wrong.

Believe it or not AQ is my worst hold cards. I lose about 80% of
the time with these cards mabye I am playing them wrong.

I think AK has a really reputation. I think A LOT of people over value it. I look at it like 22-66. Play it, but don't got married to seeing the river, (which I sould thing=k about more hands in general).

I think Lon McEarhon calls AQ the parking lot hand. For good reason.

Oh. I hate it when one card is dealt from a jack or higher, and the second is a deuce, three or four. Such garbage is constantly strewed.

to be honest i dont think theres such thing like bad cards lol, its all about what u do with em. in big games usually thats the difference. playing bad cards as good cards ofc thats not happen when u early in game. then 2 j, 3 9, 7 2, 9 4, its a no but again it depends but alot of factors!!!

For me, the most terrible is A 6 mismatched. I'm afraid of her very much. On the one hand, A asks you to enter the Bank, and 6 leads to the loss of chips, sometimes huge:heeeellll

I don't really "hate" any cards...after all any 2 cards can win the hand, just depends on all the different factors we take into account when deciding whether to enter the hand or to pass

AK is by far my least favorite hand. Unlike what many people think AK has very little value preflop. Preflop the AK heads up is weaker then 13 other hands including all pocket pairs. The strength of AK only comes if it connects to the board which it only does less than have the times. Which means the other half of the time your AK will have no value. The times when it does connect its hard to get any real value you as your opponent will likely not risk a lot to call with anything less than top pair. If your opponent does bet into you have to realize that your top pair is likely not to hold up . One of the biggest mistakes of bad players is overvaluing top pairs and over pairs. While I believe the AK is by far the most overvalued and misplayed hand in all of poker

I agree with the Fox member. If the cards are not very good, it’s better to just fold and sit and wait for a better card so you can try to win on it.
