What's your attitude towards slow acting players?

It annoys. Dirty play if it is slowrolling

I treat such players with respect, everyone has their own tactics of the game, for some, slow play is such a player's manner, others can use it to reach the prize money, having a small stack.

If they have time they can do whatever they want. I don't care.

I ignore that all. You can play your game. It's o.k..

This behavior also annoys me, but it means that the player either thinks he is looking at the statistics at me, or the opponent has a lot of tables, and in these cases such a slow game can be understood and forgiven)

"Patience is a Virtue" or so the adage goes, and it is never more important, than when you are playing Poker, "It's a Marathon, not a Sprint Race" is another of my favorite saying's, and if you allow yourself to get upset when player's Tank, take too long to make a decision, then you are the one at risk, of making some stupid mistake's.
That is what they are hoping you do, so they can make the money or ladder up the pay table a little higher.
I don't usually play that way, because quick decisions are a sign of strength and positive thinking, but it also could be used to beat opponent's when you have hit the "nuts" and you show a little concern about how good your hand strength is, you really do not want to scare the "Fish" away.
I once played Pocket Kings like a "Nit", taking my time over every decision, as if it meant I could lose or fold at any moment, especially after hitting a flop of K,K,J, and I played them like a true Angler, drawing them in, checking and calling on every action, until the River when I started to raise and re-raising, until I had both players hooked with their J/10 and J/Q hands especially after the turn gave them both Boat's with a Jack on the Turn.
I used the time bank on every decision because I had the "Nuts" and knew any aggression on my part would scare them off.
So beware of player's who do use their Time Bank's, they might be tossing you a line.

I disagree with the general view that "they have a clock, they can use it" philosophy for several reasons:

1. There is also a chat bar, but that doesn't mean you can get away with saying anythin you like...you can easily get banned for chat misuse.

2. Excessive time wasting ruins the game and is therefore bad for poker in general. What is bad for poker, is bad for all of us.

3. I don't begrude someone using their time to make an important decision. But to be fair, there are few situations where you really need to run your clock all the way down hand after hand after hand.

4. I don't begrudge people using their time on the run up to the blinds increasing. Totally fair play there. I think that can be quite strategic if there is a short stack (folded) UTG and the blinds are about to go up.

5. I can understand running your clock when you're on the bubble and short stacked and trying to make it into the cash.

6. If course, if you do this against me, I will simply log on to my mobile, where I can send a horshoe throwable at you repeatedly until you play nice. (No delay on my mobile for throwable re-use)...you'll get tired of it pretty quickly and we can return the relative peace and quiet without the slow play.

Indeed I do take issue with people who just run it all the time. Honestly that demonstrates that you are a poor player who disrespects your opponents and the game. Why poor? Well, bottom line -- are you, on average, a better player than those at your table or worse? If you are better, then you should WANT to see more hands so you can generate more chips. The slower someone plays, the fewer hands they will see. The fewer you see, the fewer you can win. Only someone who has got lucky and doesn't know how to stay there needs to run the clock every time.

Disrespecting your opponents? This is clear. You are using the game itself as a tool for winning. That may seem clever -- we should use MANY tools for winning. However, trying to put someone on tilt by time wasting is just not cool. Love to see what happens to you if you do it everytime in a real casino or cards hall.

I think it is generally a good policy to avoid behaviour online which you would not do live and in person. Another way to look at it is: if someone would beat the crap out of you for your behaviour in person, it is probably NOT ok online.

If you expose anything about yourself that someone could use to get under your skin you should tune the behavior out. Unless it’s excessive especially in a tournament on a money bubble. there are people that will tank fold every hand with a 4BB stack to min cash. In a live tournament you can call the clock on them.

To put it simply, every player has an allocated time which they can use as they please. It is part of the rules of the game that you are playing and it's a tool.

There shouldn't even be arguments about it. No one can take more time than they are allowed and if they are given something, they should make the most out of it. If you are not taking advantage of every aspect of the game, then you are not playing optimally and that is your problem. Breath in, breath out. Cool or not, it doesn't matter, it's your problem if your impatient.

There are rules in play and as long as you follow the rules, other's emotions are only going to affect them. There is no such thing as disrespect, or at least I don't believe in it and therefore I'm not affected, so you can disrespect me all you want, I will take advantage of everything that I have and can and I'm after your money, not your emotions, the emotions are all yours.

Cheer up! Hard times coming.

I play only online and ignore this behavior totally. To show no reaction in chats is IMHO the best reaction.

If you get annoyed as I do, that is normal but if you get annoyed and tilt then that player has accomplished there goal. Shame on you.

I do not play slow but being valid if someone reacts badly or changes their game for it, the slow player benefits

Some slow play may be valid, such as someone playing multiple games at once or is genuinely being distracted. But, of course, many do it to annoy you and hope you go on tilt. Find something to occupy your time while you're waiting for them to move. Works for me.

I think they just don't know how to play poker and think they count slowly

I don't care, for a fact I usually do play fast usually but it never bothers me when someone tanks time banks. There're many reasons behind it and I respect that.

I find it quite annoying too when people play poker super slow but sometimes I do it when I am about to make real money but I have little amount left in the game.

It depends on many factors.

Usually when I'm with multiple tables it's something that bothers me less.
However, if I see that it's intentional, I reply with twice the waiting time! haha
Obviously it's not the solution, but if you can't handle it, join it!

If it is intentional and constant, i dont understant that all. Whats the value of doing that? And now i mean that really doing it from start to end, i get it for example when trying to get trough the buble.

For me, the older i get, more often the time bank is faster then my decicion making.

Patience is a virtue, and in poker it takes a lot. It is very likely that you are playing at multiple tables or simply taking more time to analyze the situation. Each player has their time, it doesn't bother me, it's part of it.

Some players act so slow and i do not know why.

If i ask the play why he does it, he does'nt know it either, so funny.

Also player do this in a turbo sattelite for the main event, they are short and still acting slow.

I will be honest with you , most of the times I multi table so I don't pay attention, sometimes I myself may make slow decisions and I don't want it but it happens. If a player do that on purpose in every single action then good for him I guess?!?!

the delay can be caused by several factors, physical difficulty, slow thinking, not being familiar with the game, playing at many tables at the same time, just for fun.... when I'm in my most controlled state I prefer not to call with time used by the opponent
