Dieing suddenly while holding a royal flush
Good news for you is that both of those are remarkably low probability events lol

Not so sure about that - I figure just about everyone has a good chance of keeling over at some point, and the more I play poker the better chances of getting that royal flush again! I hit one not long ago .. posted a screenshot here somewhere when it happened. Cheers

My biggest fear right now: Shot-taking with bad BRM and going busto again.

Last week I was playing $0.50 Spins with $1 bankroll. Busted 5 sessions in a row chasing losses.

Then I read Aleksandr1991's 100 buy-in rule here on CardsChat. Changed everything.

Yesterday I cashed my first freeroll: 40/2094 for $0.71 after 2h 21m. Followed Kerasuss28's advice to "stay 2+ hours" instead of punting first 15min.

Now I have $1.21 and I'm terrified of clicking a $0.25 Spin without 20 buy-ins lol.

So my fear isn't bad beats anymore. It's me. Discipline is scarier than variance.

@bremp555 @LiviuRo123 What's your advice for beating the "just one shot" demon? You guys been through micro stakes hell too?

We are all afraid of something, but unfortunately, fear at the poker table often leads to a loss.

For me, the biggest fear is making the wrong decisions due to lack of focus or guidance.
Because losing is part of it, but losing by playing poorly is what slows down evolution the most.

Honestly? My biggest fear at the table is holding a monster and facing a shove.
Sounds strange right? You'd think a big hand would feel comfortable. But for me that's exactly where the anxiety hits hardest.
When I have nothing — the decision is easy. Fold and move on. No stress.
But when I'm sitting there with a full house or top two pair and someone moves all-in — that's where my brain goes to war with itself. Is he bluffing? Is he value shoving worse? Or is he sitting there with the one hand that crushes me?
I've been in that spot before. Full house on the board, opponent shoves, and something feels wrong. But how do you fold a full house? You call, you hope, and sometimes you watch your tournament life disappear to a better hand.
The fear isn't really about the cards. It's about making the wrong decision at the most important moment.
Losing with trash feels unlucky. Losing with a monster feels like a personal failure.
And that feeling stays with you a lot longer than the bad beat itself. 😄

Hello, the truth is that most of the players new to the world of poker suffer from the same fears, many of them are eliminated with study, practice, discipline, most of all, and it is something that is normal, if it were not something that gave you those emotions, the important thing here is to know how to identify and to know in what way you should attack and improve and value the improvement that you get, because mistakes will never go away, all people make mistakes as human beings and it is important to recognize it, accept it and value the improvement we have.

It's more about online poker, but every time when I was playing a big buy in tournament or a big cash game hand, I’ve always been afraid that my internet would go down.

Fear of a player who bets large amounts without having a combination, making it impossible to understand his true strength. The risk of ending up with a dominant hand that loses on the river is especially common in crowded games.

Only the bad beats.
If you start worrying about AA, KK, or any other strong hand right after the deal, you’re usually going to lose anyway. The fear also attracts the other person's victory.
