I don't mean what prevents you from tilting. I mean what do you do to lick your wounds after it happens?

I'm a writer, so when I'm trying to resist decommissioning my laptop, I write (and eat.)

Yours?

I love just evening walks in the fresh air, in the park, near my house. Usually, such a walk helps me calm down and organize my thoughts.

Walks seem popular! I used to live in the Cotswolds (UK) where you could walk for miles in the countryside. Now I live in the city where ten minutes is just about sufferable lol

That's admirable. The other day I had my aces cracked on the river by a set and I quit poker forever (for about five minutes). I need at least a few hours.

I yell and complain to my brother. Then I take a break to level myself.

I just stop playing, go to the shower and go to bed. Usually, it always helps me. I know that tomorrow, I will have a good chance again, and therefore I do not complicate anything.

Post tilt bad beat ritual

I take a fat rip of chronic. Or turn on Call of Duty and shoot somebody in the face. I suggest you do the same.

I generally will be found looking under the couch to find the mouse batteries that came out when it hit the wall.

tilt off 1 buyin or my stack, whichever comes first. Then that's enough to shock me into being a bit more removed. Take a break or just play regularly again. But I notice I'm much more aggressive when tilted and basically turn into a fun player which can somewhat be profitable actually in some situations. But depending on the hand I'm just like wow I was a part of that (e.g. SF > quads for example) and be like well OK then

If I'm still in the game after I felt like I've had a bad beat I try to avoid the tilt by playing overly tight for a few hands and take a breath/'forget' about the bad beat...

Otherwise, if I got knocked out, I call it done for the day/night and either sleep or play games to distract myself :)

I tend to cuss and fuss for about 2 minutes like a toddler, then a few moments later blood pressure is down and its all rainbows and kittens again, I join another tournament and try again :). The more it happens the quicker I settle down, dust my pants off and get on the horse again.
