when do cash games become a game where you can bluff?

you know at the low stakes everyone chases, so i cant really use advanced poker. so iv been building a BR thru SnG's (been killing it really). i was thinking to start cash games at the 50NL level. once i get about 30 buy ins, pretty close just a few more sessions will do. or how is the 25NL, because im rolled for that right now?

iv got some good experience because i play live every other weekend (whenever the game is 50NL) with people who play poker for a living. and im up a about 3 buy ins. (its out of my BR but i dont play it often so i figure it doesnt hurt me much. plus the experience is worth it)

Well you can start bluffing at 25NL, I've found it to be far more effective at the 50NL tables. I quite like 50NL, having recently moved up to it myself. I find that if you're prone to overthinking yourself at the 25NL level, you wind up right around the sweet spot at 50NL. It seems like at this level you see a lot more players who know whats up to some extent, not saying pros, but not all the total clowns you see everywhere at the lower levels either. That said there's still plenty of fishy fish, its just nice to be able to figure out what a reg is doing based on knowing the game, rather than needing a billion notes about just in what way he's retarded.

People who chase cards are what you want in NL holdem. If you can't use your "advanced poker" at the micro's and be a consistant winner, then I would not advise moving up. The better you are at poker then the more profit you should make against worst players. If they chase too much then just raise more. Its a noob mistake to think that you have a better chance against better players.

well i switched to 25NL and im doing much much better. maybe its all in my head that im playing a higher level that i should play better because there are still a ton of fishes even at 25NL. but the higher level makes me play better than when i was playing 10NL. i played for couple hours today and did very good.

i don't think this winrate is maintainable in any stake (probably end up at 10BB/100), bluffing frequency also depends if its 6-max or FR and playing more tables can be a good move as well.

Whatever level you're at you just gotta know your table. You may get on a supertight table or may have nothing but betting wars between 3 or 4 guys. Don't try until you've seen enough hands to figure it out.

You can bluff at every level. Depending on the opponent will depend on how often you can bluff and if you should.

What do you mean by that? Do you mean that you don't bluff for you stack? Or do you not even throw a feeler bet at the pot if no one wants it?

My approach is generally to wait until I see how the other players play first. It takes patientce, but after awhile, you should be able to see who will bite and when.

In a cash game you need to bluff. If you're card dead there's nothing to win by just folding.

poker tracker 3 . search google you get a 90 day free trial. im done with cash games though because i am making so much more in SnG's. maybe ill come back to it later

If you are killing Sng why switch to cash games, the goal of poker is to have fun and make a little money, why quit your strength to try and bluff at a high level cash game. stick to what you do best.

Pretty much the best thing that i ever did to improve my game for online cash games was take out almost all my bluffing. I will cbet almost every time whether i hit or not, but that is about as far as any of it goes. There are too many people that will just call you down anyway with a draw and sometimes hit. Too risky in my opinion.

I've cut out alot of bluffin in my micro cash game. Yes i'll cbet the flop or turn if I think I have an edge to win the pot. But by the river if they've kept on calling me i've gotta pretty good read on what hand they hold.
I dont tend to bluff tho untill i've got some pretty decent reads on ppl like who can fold the turn to a float bet, or who takes a stab at the river and folded to a reraise etc etc.

What SnG/people stakes do u play at BigBoi26? Im playin mostly 90ppl SnG's but there startin to do my head in as my ROI/ITM% is going down on them.

i do 9 man turbos $27 but sometimes theres not enough people so i do $16 9 man tturbos. usually mixed session of like 5 27's and 7-9 16's.

Like the previous poter said, you can bluff at any level. Position and knowing your table/opponent is essential. It also helps to win a showdown with a great hand or show a big had to a fold after you raise. If your opponents respect you, they will fold to you...sometimes. You also have to pick the right spots and don't bluff too often. I have also been amazed at the power of a continuation bet when you don't hit.

Don't try and bluff anyone who doesn't know what they are doing
